VW is crucified as a scapegoat.
Most likely VW has manipulated the tests ... but the question remains, how much value have tests which can be manipulated that easy ... think about bench marks for cpu's were the one and the other cpu has been optimized especially for some of these tests! (yes cpu && Co2 has not that direct relation....(?))
In the latest news one discusses about some kg +- which is the input for test software, this compared to let us say a weight of 1500 kg where +15kg means 1%. This compared to a standardized "test" which is hard to justify in % how realistic it is.
No, I don't drive a VW  but I think all the shout is unnecessary and artificiall.

I agree. In light of all of the other obvious lies that manufacturers peddle about the performance and fuel efficiency of their vehicles, this seems like small potatoes.

We're not talking about weighting the test (still a criminal offence in most countries by the way) but deliberately introducing technology to cheat an independent test. It's the equivalent difference between avoiding tax and evading tax. It's blatantly illegal and fraudulent. How can you pretend that the hoo-ha is scapegoating (a word which you don't really seem to understand in itself - the scapegoat takes the blame for something it didn't do!)? Do you also feel that the FIFA representatives should be immune from charges on the basis that 'everybody' was doing it?

I don't know what's more disturbing - that people are actually having sex with robots, or that there's someone out there that considers himself an expert regarding sex with robots.
My view is that you just need to use the right protection, such as an anti-static strap to prevent you from accidently shorting out your sex robots circuitry.

I'd suggest ...umm... some sort of fluid retaining device, perhaps made of latex, to prevent "liquids" coming into contact with delicate circuitry as well...
