So after aquaplaning[^], gliding over ice and sliding over wet leaves, this weekend I had the "pleasure" of experiencing gliding over a mud puddle, complete with tank slapper[^]. It took 2 to 3 seconds to get my bike straight again (in the end my bike started to tilt)

The difference between sliding an tank slapping is that with sliding, your back wheel breaks out. Tank slapping is much more frightening, because it is your front wheel that's going (and thus much more difficult to keep the bike straight).

I am, however, pleased to report to have not fallen (yet) in any of these occurances... Big Grin | :-D . The remedy in all cases being to ease of the gas (slowly!) and trying to keep going as straight as possible until grip comes back.

I did ask my friend to stop for a few seconds so I could tell my heart to stop stopping and start beating...
