You might want to avoid this one. He's one of that type that's "got religion" and thinks it means that any ridiculous idea that pops into his head is an absolute, universal truth.
He seems to have a hard time understanding plain English, though (why should he? He's more important than language), so if you joke with him, he probably won't understand, and might decide that you're Satan -- and if he thinks it, it's true, obviously.

The old RLL drives -- before IDE drives, okay -- had drive arms that got stuck and we called it stiction.
You just drop the computer -- preferably while off -- to get those arms unstucktioned.

We were just having a discussion in the closetoffice today, and we got to wondering: How many CP MVPs are also MVPs elsewhere (Microsoft, Xamarin, whoever else has MVP programs)?
OK, people weren't given enough information to interpret EVP (I guess the question itself wasn't clear enough), so in this case, I mean, "Extremely Valuable People/Programmers".

Not equivalent, just wondering how many people get some kind of recognition from various companies.
As much as I respect the CP MVPs, I don't think it's equivalent to a Microsoft MVP.

One of the cooler forms of "recognition" would be that I've been asked by a publisher to review a book. Almost as good as getting an MVP-title 
Most companies do not choose MVP's, fortunately. It wouldn't mean as much if it was common practice, because more noise would be added.

I respect all titles, even the ones that are bought. But the main difference here would be that one is specific to programmers and the other to product-specialists.
