VS2008 automatic: Select class in Class View, Open Properties, Select Messages List, Add blahblah
I think it is of no relevance in what way the code has been added. The question is, why the breakpoint never gets hit in case I double click on the slider.

With following code i was able to get double click message in my Slider control.
I hope it works for you.
DWORD dwClssStyle = ::GetClassLong(m_slider.m_hWnd, GCL_STYLE);
dwClssStyle |= CS_DBLCLKS;
dwClssStyle = ::SetClassLong(m_slider.m_hWnd, GCL_STYLE, (LONG)dwClssStyle);

Hallo i have the following code in a CRichEditView file:
void Test_OnDraw(CDC* pDC,TextDoc* pDoc)
{
pDC->SetTextColor (RGB (0, 0, 0)); // CDC* pDc
if (pDoc->m_carrDocOutput.GetSize ())
{
CSize sz = pDC->GetOutputTextExtent (pDoc->m_carrDocOutput.GetAt (0));
for (short i = 0; i < pDoc->m_carrDocOutput.GetSize (); i++)
pDC->TextOut (1, (sz.cy + 2) * i, pDoc->m_carrDocOutput.GetAt (i));
if (m_bAppendToEnd)
{
CPoint pt (1, __max (1, (sz.cy + 2) * (pDoc->m_carrDocOutput.GetSize () - 5)));
ScrollToPosition (pt);
}
}
}
first the Compiler does not recognize this function : ScrollToPosition (pt);
secondly when the output appears in the Output window there is no horizontal scroll bar , and when i click maximize or minimize the whole
output text disappear.How can i fix this problem ? Thanks in Advance

ScrollToPosition is a member of CScrollView. is Test_OnDraw a member of a class that is derived from CScrollView ?
(edit: also of CCtrlView)

no it is a member of class derived from CRichEditView.
I have also a problem intializing the CDC* pDc outside the Class that derived frm CRichEditView.
inside class Test_view::CRichEditView pDC will be intialized for the OnDraw fuction but i need to
intialize CDC* pDC in the Test_Doc:: CRichEditDocument.

Hi there,
I'm looking to get the real time weather of a particular city, when the pincode for the same has been provided.
Is there any way in VC++ 6.0 or any Internet API which I can use to get the same?
Kindly share your comments on this.
Thanks in Advance,
Rajesh

Look at WinInet[^] - that's a good starting point for HTML/HTTP interfacing. If the web-service you're going to use is written using SOAP, then gSOAP[^] may be more appropriate.
Java, Basic, who cares - it's all a bunch of tree-hugging hippy cr*p

Where are you wanting to get this information from? To my knowledge, there is not a central location like there is with getting the current time.

Hi David,
I've seen a gadget called 'Weather 1.0.0' which comes with Windows Vista - Side Bar. I hope the same can be done using VC++. But I've no clues on how to start with.
This needs an internet connection to be active to update the weather information.
If someone can provide some pointers on this, will help me in proceeding further to achieve the same.
Thanks in Advance,
Rajesh

Hi Stuart / David,
I got some information from google.
"http://www.google.co.in/ig/api?weather=trivandrum,india"
we can specify the city name and the country name in the weather and it will display the contents in XML format.
I would like to know, how through programically using VC+ to write the XML contents to a file or even read the contents of the XML so as to extract the weather information.
Kindly pass on your comments.
Please let me know, if you have a better way to achieve the same.
Thanks in Advance,
Rajesh

Maybe code.google.com has something you can use.

Good news - you can actually help yourself by searching the articles on this site. There are several ready-to-use classes for reading/writing Excel files.
