I believe you are using back button which is with the web browser. This is not a Internet Explorer problem. If you wish user to go back to previous page then dont use web-browsers back button cause data will be lost... provide smarter solution to go back

Hello I have regex expression that is work in asp.net for finding link
SET objRegex = NEW regexp
objRegex.Pattern = "(\b(?:(?:https?|ftp|file)://|www\.|ftp\.)(?:\([-A-Z0-9+&@#/%=~_|$?!:,.]*\)|[-A-Z0-9+&@#/%=~_|$?!:,.])*(?:\([-A-Z0-9+&@#/%=~_|$?!:,.]*\)|[A-Z0-9+&@#/%=~_|$]))"
Now i want to use this expression in javascript. how can i write ?
I tried with this but not working.
var re = new RegExp(/\b(/?:(/?:https?|ftp|file):\/\/|www\.|ftp\.)(?:\([-A-Z0-9+&@#\/%=~_|$?!:,.]*\)|[-A-Z0-9+&@#/%=~_|$?!:,.])*(?:\([-A-Z0-9+&@#/%=~_|$?!:,.]*\)|[A-Z0-9+&@#/%=~_|$])/g);
Is there any Converter available for this?

The forward slashes are causing your problems because they're telling the interpreter that it's the end of the expression since they're not escaped. Converting your expression from the original into the javascript should only require a copy/paste and manually escaping the pattern's forward slashes. Ie, (?:https?|ftp|file)://|www\.|ftp\.) becomes (?:https?|ftp|file):\/\/|www\.|ftp\.)
Here's a Regex reference for javascript that can help you convert your expression:
http://www.w3schools.com/jsref/jsref_obj_regexp.asp[^]
Also, there's a regular expression forum on here:
http://www.codeproject.com/Forums/1580841/Regular-Expressions.aspx[^]
They will probably give you more help about regex syntax problems than the javascript forum.

Good Day All
i am creating Textboxes at Runtime with something like this
Dim cnt As New TextBox
cnt.ID = "cont_" & x
If multiline Then
cnt.TextMode = TextBoxMode.MultiLine
End If
These are dynamically created fields. so what i want to do is to use this following JQuery on this textbox
$(document).ready(function()
{
$("#contentbox").keyup(function()
{
var box=$(this).val();
var main = box.length *100;
var value= (main / 145);
var count= 145 - box.length;
if(box.length <= 145)
{
$('#count').html(count);
$('#bar').animate({"width": value+'%',}, 1);
}
return false;
});
});
and what this function does it count the number of Characters that have been typed in a Textbox. so i am displaying the remaining characters. So that is working fine on my example because the Element is known at Early Binding. Now my question is what if the textbox is created dynamically ?
contentbox
this is the name of the Textbox in my example.
hOW do we use a J Query in Dynamically created Textbox.
Thanks

You can use something like this:
$("#" + "<%= cnt.ClientID %>").keyup(function() { });
You will have to ensure you have access to "cnt" from that scope. Or store the value in ClientID in a variable that you then use on the page.
Somebody in an online forum wrote: INTJs never really joke. They make a point. The joke is just a gift wrapper.

Instead of ID get the textbox using Class.
give the class of textbox for example let i give a class name 'contentbox'
cnt.cssClass = "contentbox"
and in javascript
$(".contentbox").keyup(function()

Thank you very much , that did the Trick

It is using the getElementById()[^] method to access several element on the HTML page and setting their properties and calling their methods.

i have one issue
whenever clicking the radio button the open document should be print by using javascript. if any one know please give me the code.
|
|
|
|
|
The standard way to print a web page is to use window.print(); in the trigger you want to fire the print. Note that it doesn't directly print the page - it shows the print dialog instead, and lets the user choose whether or not they want to print (along with providing print options).
|
|
|
|
|
Could you please provide some peace of code for Print Dialog.
|
|
|
|

I have.
window.print(); That shows the printer dialog.

You have an extra backslash in front of the first closing quote on the alert line - try taking that out.

I use the following code in order to display a fake sending method that lasts 1 second:
<pre lang="Javascript">$("#" + action + "-submit-message").text("sending...");
var startTime = new Date().getTime();
while (new Date().getTime() < startTime + 1000);
$("#" + action + "-submit-message").text("sent!");</pre>
Despite of that, I can see only the "sent!" message in the end of the function, when I expect to see the "sending..." for a second. What can be the problem?
