Having had a look to the other articles, I am not sure about the spam intention.
He has done a lot of job just to "hide" a link or two. I found another article with the same link a "Thanks NG" (The course teacher), but still not convinced.
I have given him a warning in both articles. I would say, wait a couple of days and let see if he reacts.
