Hi
place image where your *.aspx file is saved then replace with following
<asp:Image ID="Image2" runat="server" Style="position: static" ImageUrl = "Picture1.gif"/>
If it helps then reply i will give you the details how it works

I know that this will work, my question is why doesn't it work when I set an absolute path in my computer?
|
|
|
|
|
Let me know you are running it on local(you own pc) or on a remote server
if on your pc then make sure that if the iamge exist at location you have specified
|
|
|

|
I'm running from my computer and of course the picture exists in this place, so why??

i think its not pick picture url. why not you click and check path after page load. if path is correct then picture definitely show another wise you find what path it get.
I will do my best?

OK, I'll write it as a relative path.
But now the question is how do you translate this relative path "../../../../MyFiles/Pictures/Picture1.gif" to a relative path that html accepts?
Many thanks.

SaveFrame.document.open("text/html","create")
SaveFrame.document.write(temp)

Hi All,
We have an existing web app 2.0 using AD right now for authentication. The app is used at the moment as a intranet app but now we want users from the net to use it.
What is the best and easiest way to change our app to allow for this?
From the looks of my reading online so far you can't use both forms and windows authentication, correct?
Since we would be moving the app to our DMZ I guess forms authentication would be the ticket but I am sure I will be asked if I could code a way that intranet users won't have to sign in
they could just be recognized. I'm thinking that after they sign in once I could encrypt a cookie on there machine to have them gain access. What do you think of this possibility? Please recommend other solutions.
One more thing to note when you mention your ideas, we already have a users profile setup in our database. So if membership provider pops up then I would have to extend one. Please mention which one you would use: SqlMembershipProvider, ActiveDirectoryMembershipProvider etc.
Thanks,
DNM

how to pass the values form one webform to another webform.
using querystring.
i am using asp.net with c#

This is so basic:
From:
Page.aspx?var
To:
string QSvar = (Request.QueryString["var"]);
|
|
|
|
|
or if you are using a form on the page, set the post method to "GET"
eg
<form method="GET">
<input name="something" type="text" value="sometext">
</input></form>
the querystring name will correspond to to the name of the inputs
for this example it would be ?something=sometext

For multiple use:
Pagename.aspx?Temp1=Value1?Temp2=Value2?Temp3=Value3

Bardy85 wrote: Pagename.aspx?Temp1=Value1?Temp2=Value2?Temp3=Value3
Should be like this
Pagename.aspx?Temp1=Value1&Temp2=Value2&Temp3=Value3

but the very simplest way instead of using querystring u can use
Page1.aspx
session("value")="Hi"
& use this session on another page Like
Page2.aspx
TextBox1.text=session("value")

hi,
I m trying to get values from three tables.
1) its has the sale id and product id
2) it has the product details based on id from 1st table,
3) it has the quantity of product being selected by the query.
My problem is I need to check the count of the product based on various sizes and if its more than 0 i need to display available else sold out.
I tried the following query.
if I remove the count it works well to get the details but If I m gonna get the count it throws error.
any suggestion where this query is wrong??
SELECT SaleProduct_tb.ProductId, Product_tb.BasePrice, Product_tb.SalePrice, Product_tb.PName, Product_tb.Image1, COUNT(ProductSizeQty.Quantity)
AS Expr1
FROM SaleProduct_tb INNER JOIN
Product_tb ON SaleProduct_tb.ProductId = Product_tb.ProductId INNER JOIN
ProductSizeQty ON Product_tb.ProductId = ProductSizeQty.ProductId
WHERE (SaleProduct_tb.SaleId = @SaleId) AND (SaleProduct_tb.CatId = @CatId) AND (SaleProduct_tb.SubCatId = @SubCatId) AND
(Product_tb.BrandId = @BrandId) ORDER BY saleProduct_tb.ProductId
after this count is found I will need to check if its more than 0 then the text should be available else not available.
any suggestion. I m using asp.net 2005
