My main screen is a 20.8", so I couldn't say 21" or above. I do have 2 x 19" as well ( I am about to buy a third, my old CRT blew up ).

I am using dual 19" flat-screen at 1280 resolution
|
|
|
|
|
I use 2x24" in at work, plus 20" at home, plus 17" laptop display

Color depth is much more better than my old ViewSonic CRT monitor had. Cool

I code on my laptop. The 19" monitor is connected to my laptop, which is where I do my coding. The laptop screen shows the apps during debug; has my mail, IM clients etc.

... now tell them about _your_ monitors

*grin* I don't know what you mean...
I saw Mike Dunn's setup on this trip, he has one LCD monitor and his notebook, but I still felt totally pwned. It's a widescreen, of ludicrous size, and the res is 1900 wide. Nice....

I have an array of 4 LCDs.
2 - 19" Sceptres running 1600 X 1200
2 - 17" Acers running 1280 x 1024
Would not work without them.

I'm curious, what happens when you play one of those full-screen games (like GTA or AOE)?
Thanks,
Alvaro
A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side. - Aristotle

Games?
You can play games on one of these?

Same for home and office. But I intend to get a 19" one for my home pc soon.

I upgraded from 3x 19" LCD @ 1024x768 each to 2x 24" Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP LCD @ 1920 x 1200 each about six weeks ago and I'm loving it. Widescreen is definitely the way to use Visual Studio and this gives the best of both widescreen and dual displays.

That's so like, not fair. I want. I want. I want.

I have been using this setup for about year now...I can't imagine any other way...Thinking about trying 4, a two by two grid.
|
|
|
|
|
I thought about using my old 19" LCDs to grow vertically as well as horizontally, but the idea of losing an infinitely high top edge on the bottom displays put me off.

Stack them, then configure them as 1x4. It will be a long mouse swing to the right but will allow you to keep reference stuff up top.

At my last job, I had two monitors:
[1] [2]
But I arranged them like this in the desktop space:
[1]
[2]
so that #1 (my primary) could keep the infinite right edge (so I could slam the mouse to the top-right corner to close a maximized window). This worked out really well, and it was always funny to see other people trying to figure out why moving the mouse to the right didn't make the cursor go to monitor #2

Those things are massive. How do you use two? I'd hurt my neck or something from all the turning :P
I'm definitely getting one of those soon though. Just waiting for the new revision (maybe out already...) and a nice sale. Should be great for multi-tasking, videos and next-gen consoles.
