Neither do I, although I would probably get a Palm Tungsten E2 or a Palm TX.

Give up my big, bright screen, with crisp, readable text and a solid keyboard, for a crappy little dim screen and a keypad or pen? Yeah, i'll get right on that. Was just thinking how sh**ty it is that i don't get as many headaches and RSI these days.
I get reminders sent to my cell via SMS. They can be a bit hard to read, but that's ok, 'cause they're short. And i don't have to wear my thumbs out typing them in on the damn thing.

Who wants that kind of baggage in their life?
I have a cell phone with one feature: it stores a list of phone numbers. That's all I want.

Well, with at least a Java-enabled phone you can do many useful things.
For example when I'm not at home/office, I browse the Internet with Opera Mini, I sends and receive mail on my POP3/IMAP4 account, I can use many applications...
I like this.

I know the some one here is fascinated with PDAs which is why we keep getting surveys about this topic, but I think the days of the PDA are numbered.
Why do you need a PDA if your mobile phone can already do most the funcionality of a PDA?
Most people need a mobile, but can survive without a PDA, so it's logical that you would eliminate the device that you need less.
Have a look at this artical:

A PDA with mobile phone capabilities is still a PDA...

I think it's a matter of perspective really.
There are PDAs with cell phone capabilities and then there are cell phones with PDA capabilities. The form factors are different, as well as people's perceived use of it.
Cell phones with PDA capabilities seem to be winning.

PDA obsolete? I certainly hope not. There are lots of uses for them in industry, the ones I program for have a barcode scanner on one end so that employees can carry one to scan barcodes on products, packages or whatever. Some uses: inventory and shipment control. you can't do that with a cell phone.

Because it's not so much about whether you have one or not, but which ones are being used.
<bangs hand on table> This is serious, scientific research here, Marc!

You can record all the meeting audio (as if you would listen to it later - hah!), and play solitaire or sudoku while pretending taking notes of every stupid comment people make.

I've got one IPAQ, a Philips Windows CE machine and a Psion organizer - sat in a drawer broken. The IPAQ and Philips had their screens smashed, and the Psion .... well it still works but is so old and out-moded that I shame to bring it out into the light of day.

I won a Palm V once, but the screen got horked shortly after I got it (it would register a tap in the wrong place!). I finally pitched it last year during a house-cleaning session.

What's this? It makes me think of those Timex organizers that you could hold up to a computer screen and an Outlook plugin would transmit the calendar data to the watch by flashing bars on the screen that the watch could read. Those were popular for about a year, right around the same time as the Newton.

Wasn't Chris lusting after those Spot watches for awhile? Until they came out and were a bit craptacular.

I got hold of Dave's Suunto N3 that he had sitting in his desk doing nothing. It now sits in my desk doing nothing.
Waste of time.
