So true... at least for me...
I am having eye strains since 1+ yrs but I still love programming so much that I am ok to get blind in love with programming.

Yeah,
Doctor suggested me many things like don't spend much time with screens, gave some liquids and food habbits, etc. They changed my specs too.
But its just like asking alcoholic guy to quit drinking. I still sit 14+ hrs a day in front of my laptop.
I would probably take retirement early.

I couldn't spend that long looking at a lap-top without being in absolute agony!
Try using a decent sized external monitor with it and you'll probably notice a huge difference.
