I'll use a clock if I have an early flight and perhaps in the hotel before business meetings. I debated about answering occasionally, but I felt it's not often enough for that option (subjective feel).
Anyway, with a wife, two children and two cats, along with my internal alarm, I don't need an alarm on a typical day. When I do use an alarm, I prefer the 'wake to music' type.

I don't wake up, with alarm, with people shouting around me, with people calling me on my phone 3-5 times, with TV being watched at full volume or anything that may cause disturbance to you.
Simply, I wake up when I have to. I'm a king of my life, alarms can't rule me.

Waking up when you have to isn't being king of your life.
Waking up when you want to is...

I don't wake up to go to my job, I wake up to go and have a cup of tea. That is what I have to wake up for.

Since my kids started school my body clock has kicked in to awaken me before a set time 0730hrs! Do any other parents have the same enforced body clock regiment?

Indeed. And in a case of exhaustive periods, kids themselves act like a backup alarm, as they come to my bed 5 mins later

I have no problem to wake at 7:30, the problem is that the school bus leaves at 7:00

Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

Why to use an alarm to wake up.
I have flexible working hours so, I don't use an alarm to wake me up
Usually I go for work in the time space between 09.00 am - 11.00 am
(depends on what time I'll wake up) :P
Hit my ID card.. work 8-9 hours then go home
If we have to do scrum or agile meetings we do them around 14.00 - 16.00
and that's because everyone is at office around that time

according to the latest survey, there are 9 vampire developers in codeproject

because vampire developers do exist!

Quote: Surprised to see 7 people said they don't sleep. Really!!! There are bots on CodeProject, too. Bots don't need to sleep.
Quote: Why there is such an option to the question? Why there a need to start such a survey? Are we going to develop a new pill to help us overcome sleep sooner, or later?

But do they though? I think we should ask the audience...
Do these polls get worse each week?
- Yes
- No
- What is 'polls'??
