I walk 4 miles a day, regularly cycle (as a means of transport). That is definitely exercise, but if you mean workout, then god no.
The best way to keep fit is to incorporate physical activity into your daily life. Leave the car at home.

There are 40 steps to get from the street to the main floor of my house. I seem to be the one who takes the trash in and out etc, so I get a lot of up and down. A real estate agent described it as a "heart healthy house". Funny how you can turn a sow's ear into a silk purse using only words.

...mostly by myself leaves no energy for exercise! Up and down stairs with boxes large and small gives me all the exercise I need for the past month.

I decide to be regular for physical workout every 3 or 4 month , did various exercises (normally different from the previous resolution ) for mostly 1 week and then go back to my cave. Again wake up after few months and the cycle keeps going on.....

I read or heard something somewhere that said if you exercise "diligently", you MIGHT extend your life by 2 years. I'll give up the 2 years.

Its not about extending life! its about increasing the power of thought and Healthy living!

"New ageism" What scientific study makes you think exercise increases the power of thought. That ought to mean that athletes must all be exceptionally, smart guys. I don't think so.

Regular exercise helps you to think more clearly which is important in our profession. Since you dun exercise regularly, you do not feel this beneficial effect and believing it to be myth.

70+ pounds of pull so my pace is around 16 minutes a mile. 2 to 3 miles depending on what other dogs we have to maneuver around. My dog loves people but is afraid of his own genus.

I meet my wife at the gym two days a week after her yoga class and we work out together for an hour. I mow a half-acre, bag it, put it in the compost once a week. The days I don't work out at the gym I do kata for half an hour in the mornings and practice on the body bag. I've done this since I left the infantry to get my comp sci degree in 1982.

Yoga.
Used to do yoga postures regularly some years ago; but nowadays, only rhythmic breathing, aka pranayama.
