I like coding for all users (even the one who dont read the messages boxes), because I really know my useful software helps them and they enjoy and like our companies product line.

Nah, it's not users, it's managers and budget limits. Without managers and with an infinite budget, I am quite sure that I could meet the needs of every user.

And I love playing in it.
As a consultant, yes, I encounter a lot of jobs where I have to [pick up / clean up / continue providing for] existing software, and then there are the gems where I'm hired to architect and implement a brand-spanking-new development effort. Those are my favorite, as I'm not subjected to the necrotic corpse of an existing project, but get to participate in the conception (that's the most fun part, of course) and development of the project.

There are so many:
* You get to enjoy working in the nature.
* Simple pure life style
* Nothink like those evil jobs with slave-like hours and deadlines hampered by the boss
* You actaully help humanity to reduce bad zombyish addictions related to over technologiism.

The trouble with people,
is that they want to hear only what they want to hear.

The pluses I see:
Fun solving problems,
new things to learn,
nice community (i.e: CP - One of the best places )
casual horary,
enjoying technology
Not so agree:
Pay is good - it depends a lot on company and self-selling skills of the individuals
(potentially) touch millions of people - the more people the more probability to find morons, trolls and/or plain idiots
don't interact with people - it might be a problem if one isolated himself from the world and its tendences / needs
art form - coders with more "artistic" than "pragmatic/practical" feelings can end writing very "beautiful and nice" code that is more a pain in the ass than a solution for a problem
M.D.V. 
If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
