I know it was the worst but I really agreed with about five of those options:
>The little beeping noises that all apps emit when data is rendered on the screen
>The stereotype of the developer (age, gender, hygeine and dress sense)
>All security systems can be cracked in under a minute. Usually by guessing a password.
>Viruses and Trojans show skull-and-crossbones popups.
>All data can be enhanced. eg disguised voices made clear, grainy pictures made sharp

The language is JavaScript. that of Mordor, which I will not utter here
I hold an A-7 computer expert classification, Commodore. I'm well acquainted with Dr. Daystrom's theories and discoveries. The basic design of all our ship's computers are JavaScript.

Wouldn't you?
I really shouldn't - I actually have an autographed picture of the Shat on my office wall that my daughter got me .

The monochrome screen is scolling an endless hex dump and the computer wiz is able to tell exactly what is happening.

Almost all the computers, in all the films, (Not all, I know) are NON Windows (Apple usually).
It is very unusual to see Windows programs when the good and bad guys are cracking, programming, working, copying, pissing off...
How can be it possible, if more than 90% (near 93% as I know) are Windows OS?

Seeing Windows a lot more now that Microsoft is paying sponsorship fees to shows like Elementary and Arrow...trying to use subliminal messages to make us like WinRT...

That one really bugs me. Don't think anyone else listed this one previously.

According to the 1996's "The independence day" Earth-made notebooks could easily interface even with alien computer systems.

Don't forget Stargate...they had all kinds of crappy laptops interfaced to Stargates, ships, knowledge systems...kinda wondering how they translated to Unicode

I always wondered about that electroacoustimechanical interface that R2D2 uses to interface with the ship.

Can't stand those shows either, its because every time I see a bit of the show, they are always enhancing some picture and getting the rego of a car from some reflected object.
But, it was totally cool when Harrison Ford did it in Blade Runner.

And downloading data takes ages before it will be completely stored in a single floppy disk?!

"All data can be enhanced. eg disguised voices made clear, grainy pictures made sharp"
BladeRunner being the poster child for this.
At least in "Blow Up", the guy had to make an effort.

ST:TNG was so guilty of this...
[Picture shows about a third of a woman's face]
Data: "The computer can extrapolate the rest of the face."
Riker: "Do it"
[The rest of the face appears, picture-perfect, including the hair style and non-symmetrical features]
Not too bad of an episode, otherwise...
