Here's a hard to beat combination (on the software front): Google ingenuity, Apple UX and Microsoft tooling. If I could develop for Android (which sported Apple's look and feel) using Visual Studio, I think I'd have died and gone to heaven.

Yes, I've used Eclipse since 2000. It's come a long way (but was always a good IDE). I also intend to use it when I start hacking Android, as it's the de facto standard for Android development.
