Create regex for password validation

Hi All,

I need a password validation regex.

At least 8 characters.
Special character - @ only
Alphanumeric
Uppercase - at least one
Lowercase - at least one

Here is my current regex:

^.*(?=.{8,})(?=.*\d)(?=.*[a-z])(?=.*[A-Z])(?=.*[!*@#$%^&+=]).*$

but it accept different kinds of special character. Please help.

Solution 2

This should work, I think.

^(?=.*[A-Z])(?=.*[a-z])[a-zA-Z0-9@]{8,}$

This is a good page for getting info about regular expressions.

Solution 1

Try this

(?=^.{8,}$)(?=.*\d)(?=.*[a-z])(?=.*[A-Z])(?!.*\s)[0-9a-zA-Z@\-]*$
