Hi
I am currently working on a desktop application which allows students to take examinations electronically. I would like to know if it is possible to get a plugin for Visual Studio which would allow me to implement something similar to Equation Editor in Microsoft Word into a Windows Forms application?

I have already tried looking this up on the internet, but most of what I have found is either too complicated for students to use or wouldn't work with my application

I would like to thank you in advance for any and all assistance

P.S. I am a first time poster. If you should find anything wrong with this post, please correct me.

Thanks for the reply. I'll definitely look into those. Maybe creating an equation editor isn't too bad an idea

I think your best bets are the Equation Editor itself and MathType. Unfortunately none of them is free, as far as I know.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did look at MathType, but it didn't seem to offer what I need. I'll give it another look. I don't mind whether or not it's free.

Well, embedding any of them shouldn't be difficult (they are COM components, after all).
