How do I convert .rdlc repots to cystal reports(.rpt) using VS2008.

I don't think you can. Because contains non-unique controls. Also RDLC's features are less to comparing with crystal reports. Even if it's possible It will give you surely over head issues(need to do manual things in converted reports). Better you may create them from start in Crystal reports.

They are two fully different types of reports, with different technology and different management.
I think that you must make them again.
