Get creative and win some loot.
| The "It's too cold to be playing golf down here" Visual C++ .NET competition |
We're posting the final entries and will start judging this weekend. Good luck to all those who sent in some amazing Visual C++ .NET articles.
It's Winter in Australia so Nick Hodapp, the Microsoft Visual C++ .NET Product Manager has sent me some packs of golf balls, some sun hats, and a very nice Visual C++ .NET wet weather jacket. Nick writes:
"Hey Chris - I just wanted to say Hi to you and all the CodeProject regulars, and send you some of the latest goodies I had made up for special customers. I trust you will find some creative way to ensure that they end up in the hands of some deserving VC++ developers...
cheers, and I'll see you at Tech Ed Australia in August! - Nick Hodapp"
The key word is creative, so we're looking for the most creative use of Visual C++ .NET in an application. It can be as the consumer of a WebService to provide weather reports, a fancy use of ATL7 or WTL7 to convert an old MFC control to the 21st century, or a rewrite of a kludgy VBScript based ASP application using ATL Server.
The Prizes
The prizes are:
1st | One rather nice Columbia Visual C++ .NET rain jacket, plus CodeProject T-shirt, Visual C++ .NET hat and a box of Visual C++ .NET golf balls | |
2nd | A CodeProject T-shirt, Visual C++ .NET hat and a box of Visual C++ .NET golf balls |
3rd | A Visual C++ .NET hat and a box of Visual C++ .NET golf balls. Plus, of course, kudos |
The Rules
The competition is open to any Visual C++ article that makes use of new features in Visual C++ .NET. Article submissions can be made either through the Submission wizard or by mailing the to us here at CodeProject. You can enter as many times as you like, and the judges decision is final.
Competition duration
The competition will run until July 31st, 2002.
