WOOD TIGER - 1914, 1974, 2034
This is a tolerant type of Tiger who evaluates situations in a practical and impartial light. He is democratic in his views and understands the importance of enlisting others' co-operation in order to advance more rapidly. He will attract a lot of friends and supporters, as he can mingle with people from all walks of life.
The Wood element gives him a more even and affable disposition, and his charming, innovative personality is very conducive to group efforts. He is sought after in polite society, and has the knack of bringing incongruous people together. But mostly his loyalty is to himself. No one is indispensable to him. If you quit the club, well, he will wish you good luck and waste no time replacing you.
The Wood Tiger is also inclined to be the least penetrating of the Tigers. He may prefer to scan the surface of things and maintain only the semblance of order. Actually, he lacks depth and permanent control. Adept at delegating chores and skillful at commanding and manipulating people into performing for him, he will take on a minimum amount of responsibility. As his lunar sign is not blessed with any great ability for self-discipline, he should not embark on more than he can handle. But it will be hard for him to admit his limitations, and Tigers of all colors do not take readily to criticism, no matter how constructive or kindly given.

coin operated boy
sitting on the shelf he is just a toy
but i turn him on and he comes to life
automatic joy
that is why i want a coin operated boy
made of plastic and elastic
he is rugged and long-lasting
who could ever ever ask for more
love without complications galore
many shapes and weights to choose from
i will never leave my bedroom
i will never cry at night again
wrap my arms around him and pretend....
coin operated boy
all the other real ones that i destroy
cannot hold a candle to my new boy and i'll
never let him go and i'll never be alone
not with my coin operated boy......
this bridge was written to make you feel smittener
with my sad picture of girl getting bitterer
can you extract me from my plastic fantasy
i didnt think so but im still convinceable
will you persist even after i bet you
a billion dollars that i'll never love you
will you persist even after i kiss you
goodbye for the last time
will you keep on trying to prove it?
i'm dying to lose it...
i want it
i want you
i want a coin operated boy.
and if i had a star to wish on
for my life i cant imagine
any flesh and blood could be his match
i can even take him in the bath
coin operated boy
he may not be real experienced with girls
but i know he feels like a boy should feel
isnt that the point that is why i want a
coin operated boy
with his pretty coin operated voice
saying that he loves me that hes thinking of me
straight and to the point
that is why i want
a coin operated boy.

Gossard, Vedder
It's a hopeless situation.
And I'm starting to believe that this hopeless situation is what I'm trying to achieve.
But I try to run on.
It's all or none.
All or none.
Here's the selfless confession leading me back to war.
Can we help that our destinations are the ones we've been before.
I still try to run on but it's all or none.
All or none.
To myself I surrender to the one I'll never please.
But I still try to run on.
You know I still try to run on.
But it's all or none.
All or none.

Quartering is a form of torturous execution in which the victim is torn apart by four horses, one each attached to each limb and then driven in opposite directions. A typical example is recounted by Casanova who witnessed the execution of Damien in 1757. He recounts how every available spot within sight of the scaffold was crowded with Parisian sightseers who gloated over the doomed man's sufferings. After having his hand burned off and being subjected to the torture of boiling oil and melted lead, for hours, to the accompaniment of his piercing screams, the whip-goaded horses dragged his limbs and body apart.

"Caffeine, particularly in the form of tea and coffee, has enjoyed a long history of adoration and exaltation the world over, dating back nearly 5000 years to ancient China. When coffee was introduced in Europe in the seventeenth century, its powers of wakefulness were immediately recognized as a fortuitous boon, coming, as it did, in the midst of the Enlightenment. Artists such as Voltaire, Bach and Rousseau are said to have extolled the intellectual benefits of the new drink.
As Wolfgang Schivelbusch writes in Tastes of Paradise: A Social History of Spices, Stimulants, and Intoxicants, "[Coffee] spread through the body and achieved chemically and pharmacologically what rationalism and the Protestant ethic sought to fulfill spiritually and ideologically. With coffee the principle of rationality entered human physiology."
At least part of the reason for the proliferation of the use of caffeine—then and now—is the practically ubiquitous presence of plants containing it. Caffeine comes from an alkaloid family of generally poisonous nitrogen-containing compounds that includes the likes of strychnine, nicotine, morphine, mescaline, and emetine (the deadly ingredient in hemlock): a veritable who's who of nasty narcotics and poisons. Unlike the other compounds in this family, though, which are mostly associated with just one plant, caffeine occurs naturally in an extraordinary variety of plants—more than 100, in fact—including those as dissimilar as some lilacs and cacti.
In modern times, caffeine has handily maintained its prominence in daily life. After the consumption of water, beverages containing caffeine are the most popular on the planet—even more popular than alcohol. The United States, for example, averages 168 mg of caffeine per person every day, or about a cup and a half of coffee for each of its 275 million inhabitants each and every day. Which, as it turns out, is nothing compared to the 414 mg per day—or four cups a day per person—for the inhabitants of the Netherlands...."

If anyone has stumbled into here wondering where I have gone I am just taking a break from CP (my goal is a couple of months I might be posting in the programming boards more). Fact is, I have too much fun on the internet and I need to get more serious about other things. I multitask all the time and it has been wearing me down. Plus, I used to do a lot of posting skating off at work and things have changed here a bit so I would like to sing a little song about Bug-A-Boos because I think everyone is a Bug-A-Boo, including myself
If you need me, or think I need to know something, feel free to email me anytime.
Bug-A-Boo Lyrics by Ed O.G. & Da Bulldogs
'First I have to boom boom the bass like this..'
'And then I..'
[Ed O.G.]
Now this is the meanin of a Bug-A-Boo
It's a person who's constantly BUGGIN YOU
Never givin you no room TO BREATHE
On you like skin, or a shirt WITH SLEEVES
A person that constantly wants to be around you
It could even be your moms or pops when they hound you
Just someone who's always botherin you
If you was a plant, they'd be continously waterin you
Sweatin you like - heat
Let's say you are the (?), and they are the sheets
Always on you, and wrapped around you
As if you were lost, and they just found you
They never get the picture
No matter how many times you diss 'em, they still wanna get witcha
Continously callin never givin you a rest
A Bug-A-Boo's just like a fly..
Nothing but a pest, and I suggest
That you step, why?
[Chorus]
Cause you're a Bug-A-Boo, you're buggin me (I'm buggin who?)
You're just a Bug-A-Boo, you're buggin me (I'm buggin who?)
You're just a Bug-A-Boo, you're buggin me (I'm buggin who?)
You're just a Bug-A-Boo..
[Ed O.G.]
Now girls, there's that certain guy that just be tippin
On you like clothes and I suppose that you be dippin
in his kicks, cause he's a stupid dick
Sappy givin you this and that, so you can feel happy
Yeah you might be happy but you're sick of him
Because he's on it, and you wanna get rid of him
But he's sweatin you, don't knock it cause he's gettin you
everything you want, so you can get fly
You say, 'Bug-A-Boo jump,' and he says, 'How high?'
Hey, just get paid, cause he's payin you
And don't call him by his name, call him a Bug-A-Boo
[Chorus]
[Ed O.G.]
Now everybody knows a Bug-A-Boo or was a Bug-A-Boo
You mighta had to bug a few or even fell in love and knew
that you was buggin a person, never cuttin no slack
Cause everytime you called them they was like 'I'll call you back'
Now a girl can whip a guy, and he can become one
He'll be callin you'll be stallin cause he's stupid a dumb one
But it goes both ways, and as a matter of fact
A girl can catch her man cheatin, and still take him back
So to all you Bug-A-Boos who got the blues and really want it
without you Bug-A-Boos we couldn't say that you were on it
[Chorus]

When you came into
My room last night
And took off all your clothes
Did you think I would resist
Letting you inside
Did you think I could resist you
My favorite Samurai
You swam across the bedroom
Drunk on my champagne
You got into the air
Across the River Wye
And pushed aside your headstone
My favorite Samurai
Then you showed me something
I didn't know
How to let go
I was falling
Through the Tivoli sky
Expecting to fly
Expecting to fly
When I stood beside your tomb
Last night
Recalling how you rose
Did you think I would persist
Refusing to die
See how I've persisted
My favorite Samurai

Pull out the stop plugs, drain all the waste
Who needs it anyway
Fill all the big holes, leave no trace
No sign of yesterday
I was all the dishes and I clean up my place
No sign of yesterday
I stare at the photographs of your dark face
No sign of yesterday
Out in the yard, was such a lovely place
It's where we used to play
Inside, outside you can feel and taste.
No sign of yesterday
And I can't hear you calling
I can't hear you calling
I can't hear you anymore
Metal ships are falling
This old car keeps stalling
Always seems to be the way
Pick up the pieces, and go dig out the dead
Then you can go to bed
Night is the stealer and time is the test

Pull out the stop plugs, drain all the waste

It was twenty years ago today,
Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play,
They've been going in and out of style
But they've guaranteed to raise a smile.
So may I introduce to you
The act you've known for all these years
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
We're Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
We hope you will enjoy the show,
We're Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Sit Back and let the evening go.
Sgt. Pepper's lonely, Sgt. Pepper'lonely,
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
It's wonderful to be here
It's certainly a thrill
You're such a lovely audience
We'd like to take you home with us
we'd like to take you home
I don't really like to stop the show
But I thought that you might like to know
That the singer's going to sing a song
And he wants you all to sing along
So let me introduce to you
The one and only Billy Shears
And Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

tumble out of bed and stumble to the kitchen
pour myself a cup of ambition
yawning stretching trying to come to life
jump in the shower the blood starts pumping
out on the streets the traffic starts jumping
folks like me on the job from nine to five
working nine to five
what a way to make a living
barely getting by
it`s all taking and no giving
they just use your mind
then they never give you credit
it`s enough to drive you crazy
and you love it
they let you dream just to watch them shatter
you`re just a step on the bossman`s ladder
but you got dreams he`ll never take away
in the same boat with a lot of your friends
waiting for the day your ship will come in
the tide`s gonna turn and it`s all gonna roll you away
working nine to five
what a way to make a living
