Wow! Which is the next one now?
Jokes apart, I am looking for a job change, fed up with my current company. I will try these companies for sure.
Can you recommend me some good companies which hire .NET developers in Delhi-NCR? I currently have 10 months of experience.
Can you guide me which companies will give me a good growth, as I want to learn best practices in .NET .
Thanks!

I am scared of RBS, it has a very tough interview process. There questions are deep level (majorly from MSCE books).
My friend works there. He is Managing Director in RBS Gurgoan.
I can only dream of going there

Wow it proves that they hire the best.

Now I think its a distant dream for me also.
But did you have any interview session there?
Anyway got to try but I don't think they will hire 1-yr exp candidates.

Don't think like that. Everybody has his own potential. I am weak in theorie sometimes.
I never had an interview with RBS but my friend gave interview there.
They will hire you, if you satisfy their questions

Rejected 4 times. Actually they ask questions indepth. Like, what happens when you declare
int i=0; , where does this variable get stored (stack or heap), how is it accessed, when it gets cleaned up etc etc.

Oh!
Damn, they go into such depths! .NET clean kar dega yaar, humein kyun pareshan kar raha hai!
The interviewers will definitely confuse me for sure. Looks like I need to study in-depth now.
So planning for an interview session with RBS?

Yes, some day or the other we have to come face to face. After all everyone wants to work with the best. I am reading all the MCTS books for WPF, WCF, WWF, Silverlight etc. Once I am confident that I am ready for it, I will definitely go for an interview with RBS

The way you wrote it was like as if its a battle.
Amit Kumar Tiwari wrote: I am reading all the MCTS books for WPF, WCF, WWF, Silverlight etc.
Awesome! I will get started too. Hey lets make a plan, you clear the interview and make it to RBS. Next I will try and hope that you will be there in the interview panel to clear me!
I think the latter part won't happen! But would like to see the former happen.
Amit Kumar Tiwari wrote: Once I am confident that I am ready for it, I will definitely go for an interview with RBS
I would 5 you for this
I think I am really annoying you with such a lengthy conversation! Forgive me coz I'm a beginner here. But you did give me a good insight.
BTW I would like to tell I got a call for interview in www.reval.com[^] and they want this profile : http://tbe.taleo.net/NA9/ats/careers/requisition.jsp?org=REVAL&cws=1&rid=147[^]
Do you find the profile interesting? I think I should give it a try but the company is small(again), though it has a global presence.
I think I will discuss about it in GIT as well.
Thanks!

These days job really has become a battle. Cut throat competition, 5 vacancies 1000 applications, toughest questions to filter out candidates. Man it is really a war. When you get selected, the feeling is like of a winning warrior.
Tarun.K.S wrote: I think the latter part won't happen!
Don't be negative. It will offcourse happen. I am not ashamed to say this, when I was a fresher and first came to Delhi with dream of IT career, it took me 13 attempts to clear HCL. I went 13 times for interview, after every 3 months (even after facing the embarrassment each time ). HCL was my dream company then. So you never know, when your luck is going to hit the bulls eye. Just keep doing what you want, and with passion. Failure is just the pillar of success.
Tarun.K.S wrote: I think I am really annoying you with such a lengthy conversation
Oh dont think like that. We are all professionals and we pass through the same phase. Even Bill Gates was a fresher someday, and would surely be struggling for a job before he established Microsoft. Fresher do have tough time at start, but once through, you are the king
Tarun.K.S wrote: Do you find the profile interesting?
Yes, it is interesting and good. Best of luck for the interview. . Small and big company doesnt matter. Small is meant to be big one day. What matters is, what work you are doing in the company. If you are involved in the SDLC with complete architecture knowledge and framework etc, that will pay off next time. Profile, salary and tenure of the project is important, not the company.

Completely agree with you boss. Lot of competetion, true.

Wow! You tried so many times, and didn't give up. A classic example for me to never give up. Awesome!
Amit Kumar Tiwari wrote: Fresher do have tough time at start, but once through, you are the king
YAY! Now I am getting more comfortable with this whole IT thing.
Amit Kumar Tiwari wrote: Yes, it is interesting and good.
Hmm I think I will give it a try.
Amit Kumar Tiwari wrote: Best of luck for the interview.
Thanks a lot sir, I really need that! They told to me call today, I think I will talk about it now. Today and tomorrow is the last date for the interview(I got the mail yesterday, read it at night). I will go tomorrow so I can prepare myself.
Amit Kumar Tiwari wrote: What matters is, what work you are doing in the company.
Right, I think the profile suits me. My current work is not that good.
Amit Kumar Tiwari wrote: Profile, salary and tenure of the project is important, not the company.
Very right, hmmm I will keep that in my mind.
Thanks a lot for the inputs! I will remember each and every suggestions.
I will come back to you if I have any doubts.
