Whilst electoral reform is unlikely I do foresee boundary changes occurring, as a reduction in the number of MPs in Scotland by even significant number would at worst cause the conservatives to lose 1 seat yet can have a big effect on the anti tory parties
the problem with proportional representation is that to form a government a party has to compromise and that imparts a disproportional amount of power to the minority parties

Having had major outages all yesterday caused by a power cut frying important bits of equipment and today being a nightmare trying to catch up with various things as well as fitting in everything scheduled for today which start with a meeting at 10, have this piece of crap cos it's the best I'm going to do today;

Finished mopping up issues in the live environments when I got in this morning.
Just got off the phone after an hour and a half talking splunk.
Now got to finish off the release that should have been done yesterday before we found ourselves with no computers.
Also haven't yet managed to get the test systems talking to each other properly. Need to find a window of opportunity for that.
Should leave the afternoon free for pointing out stupid decisions to project managers. I need much more than an afternoon, but there is no end to stupid.

I know the joke is old. I did not know that MS used it for their version of Windows.
If you knew about that, then good for you!

Movie Quote Of The Day
Almost every job I do ends the exact same way. Some whimper. Some cry. Some even laugh. But in the end, they all do the same horizontal mambo, twitching and thrusting their way into the great beyond.
Which movie?

Did we meet in the elevator a few months ago? There was a guy with sunglasses, a long slim case and a tripod who wanted to go all the way up to the roof.

You mount a violin on a tripod? And the case was far to long and too flat for a violin.
Well, whatever. Would you perhaps play another tune when you come next time?
