Where I live Amazon delivers their own packages. I suspect what you're seeing is the USPS using FedEx as a sub-contractor. Amazon ships with USPS and then USPS contracts with FedEx for overflow deliveries.

Probably against all the rules and expectations, but confusing enough to make it fun...
I'm doing it now with unencrypted FTP. (3 or 5 7 7 or 7 9 4)

That wouldn't work in a paper crossword

You are 'Doing a CCC' right now.
The only thing that comes to mind is the FTP command CCC[^]. Which has a long name of 'Clear Command Channel' which just so happens to have a length of 5,7,7
I hope I'm wrong.

You are just right! But @petepjksolutionscom was there before...

Heh,

If he insist that he was, I may give it to you... so beware!!!

Hmmm,
So 'Clear Command Channel' disables the encryption on the FTP channel. I get it.
With the 3 letter answer being 'CCC' and the 5,7,7 answer being 'Clear Command Channel', I cannot find the 7,9,4 answer. Explain that part?

CCC is also stands for Cryptic Crossword Clue...

You right - giving it to you will be the fair move...
First, you actually meant to solve it - and did...
Second, because of your time zone you have less chance to solve and make these...
So it is yours...

Are you suggesting that you understand your wife??
I think a lot of people would be happy if you would give them a course in how to achieve that!
