Some time back I was wondering what to do with my surprisingly abundant chili harvest (of exceptionally hot chilies).[^] Well (and this doesn't change anything) I now have about a quart of bright red habanero puree and half as much deeply yellow Trinidad Scorpion puree. Both ground with vinegar to preserver.
An interesting testimony for something to do came from my brother (I donated many pepper seedlings to him): peach-habanero sauce. Given to him by someone to whom he gave many habaneros. He says it's mighty fine. I have an interesting use for my pepper trimmings: I use them to discourage dogs whose owners take them to "exercise" on my lawn (has fire hydrant: uh oh!). I don't want to use chili powder as this would hurt the dog (it's the owner that's the problem). I figure the robust aroma of chili will keep them at a distance. Also, I rinsed the blender and poured the juice on the fire hydrant. Ideally, the beasts will be conditioned to keep away even when I run out of trimmings.
The idea of a sweet sauce, like Asian style hot-and-sweet sauce, has now opened up. One last crop seems due. A few will be allowed to go to seed (scorpion seeds are costly). Now I need to consider some fruit options (apple, a trace of lemon or Vitamin C to preserve the color, and honey? Blueberries? Maybe one donated to making a dilute soup for dosing on canine attractions.)
The pre-made purees can still be used elsewhere, as well - they're's an awful lot of it.

Blueberry sounds like it could be pretty good. I've had mango hot sauces that were very good too. Something a little different might be a fig hot sauce. My wife and I have used a fig balsamic marinade that we just love on chicken, pork or steak. I think a fig hot sauce could make a really good marinade.

Fig sound nice. Not quite the same, but you can take credit for it: I like making date-based spreads. Typically with walnuts and enough wine to make it a smooth paste. I've eaten this with horseradish and that works amazingly well.
Sounds like winners - now to shop for some grind-worthy dates (i.e., pitted and not too dry).

It's a bit quiet on here today, so I thought there might be room for another one. And this one is truly MASSIVE! It's a whole concert of covers.
Jules Buckley, (who has to be the coolest conductor dude on the planet), with Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra at the 2015 BBC Proms doing "The Radio 1 Ibiza Prom". This is one and a half hours of pure joy/magic and probably the best use of that time that you could ever make. No matter what your musical tastes, you are never going to have more fun listening to an orchestra than this!

OK - puzzle me this:
You've a number of posts at this point touting 'covers'. Any reason you just don't listen to the real thing? Not that I'm specifically against 'covers' - the first Hot Tuna album (entitled "Hot Tuna", a true thing of beauty,[^] was essentially only covers - basically traditional works that are, practically speaking, always covers.
OK - if somethings' like a hundred-year-old blues piece that can be difficult (not always impossible!), but the real deal's quite available (even on youtube). So, why oh why?

LOL If you want me to start listing all the 'real' stuff I like, we are going to be here for a while. In fact, I'm probably going to have reached an age where I can't remember what I liked.
I guess covers was a small enough category for me to pick a few favourites from. And it is interesting to see someone's completely different take on a track. It also tends to spark a bit of a debate. Will a Led Zep fan stomach Corinne Bailey Rae covering one of their tracks? Light the blue touch paper and stand back!
