For a while now, I have noticed a few websites (the Washington Post one in particular that has gotten me steamed enough to post here ) where the URL textbox gets taken up completely by a box that shows the website owner, that is "Verified by Entrust" as per its tooltip. OK, this a good thing, but I find that if I want to use the browser sheet (i.e., currently showing that page) to show a different page by typing in the URL, I can't because that "verified" box completely covers the URL textbox, so I have no way to put the active cursor in there, and even if I could, I would be flying blind.
Now this could be rectified if I could widen the URL textbox, but I don't see a way to do it short of disabling some of my add-ons, which I most certainly do not wish to do (I would have no problem the add-on toolbuttons were shunted to the overflow toolbutton, but I don't see a way to do this).
Any ideas?

I go there, I don't see any "Verified by Entrust" at all. Mind you, I'm using Chrome. Is this a FireFox extension of yours or something?

Mmmhh ... do you have a 2" monitor ? Or are you talking about mobile browsing ?
The certificate checker (because this is what it is) indeed takes some screen space, but in my case it is shrinked : for the washington post, it shows "Washington Post (Com..." , so not much of a bother.
Here a way to hide it using the options : how to remove firefox security certificate info from the location bar | Firefox Support Forum | Mozilla Support[^]. Not sure how to reduce the size without removing it completely though, if that is what you are after.

Uninstall FF, and use Edge.
At least then you'll have good reasons to be miserable.

NEMS | Nagios Enterprise Monitoring Server[^]
Set this up on another Pi and you can have it monitor your network and report any issues to you.
Odered me a couple of Pi 3 B+ yesterday, turned up at work todayabout 19 hours after paying for the order. Hope to have a play with this and Pi Hole over the Christmas break during barbeque and drinking sessions.

Not a chance. Aussies have special powers when it comes to barbewues and drinking, we can add any other task and still get ot all right.

I'm not sure if you deliberately mistyped some of that reply or not.

Pop over here: .NET Framework Discussion Boards[^] and spam report the spam messages? They are all stuck on three it seems and the sooner they go, the sooner the spam detector can learn from them. It's stopped him getting more of that format through, but the better the info, the less chance of similar rubbish getting in.
When they are all closed, I'll delete them.

I think you are going to be playing wack o mole for a very long time, even with the reduced spam messages.

Oh, We'll not get rid of them completely, short of sending round large gentlemen with baseball bats - many members makes too big and tempting a target.
But the shorter the spam lasts, the less we get - spam farms are paid for success, not failure. So with luck they will go elsewhere. It's what, a year or so since the last flood of baba rubbish?
