Why are they not charging their cell phones on these?
That's a steam powered generator. I'm ready to run my house off of a couple of those.

Why don't you 3D print a generator[^]?
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

Those two together are perfect. Now all I need is fire and water and I can power my home and charge my phone.
I'm going off grid!

Wondrous Machine[^]. Deserves to be played loudly.
(This one actually preceedes the steam engine by about 20 years; it dates back to 1692.)

A paean to the pipe organ, for St. Cecelia's Day.
I wanted one of those steam engines as a kid (Sears catalog), but they were apparently too expensive at the time.

Considered purely as music, that is a beautiful version - and there are several other beautiful versions at YouTube. But nothing makes me associate to machines in any of those performances. In these beautifully sounding versions, the lute comes through strong and clear...
The L'Arpeggiata / Vincenzo Capezzuto version, especiall when played at a high sound level, is the only one I know of where I can hear those machine noises to which "the warbling lute, though used to conquest, must be forced to yield, with thee unable to dispute".
Another thing is that I love the voice of Vincezo Capezzuto, and the musical arrangements of L'Arpeggiata. For another Purcell song, try Twas within a furlong - (Henry Purcell) - L‘Arpeggiata Christina Pluhar - YouTube[^].

I live in the southeast of the US and I see lots of married couples that do not have wedding rings, but rather something that looks like it came out of a cereal box. When did plastic rings become a thing for marriages?
I have never understood people going in to debt for a wedding ring but this seems a bit overkill. What's going on? I'm tempted to get married again so I can figure out what they are all about.
Is this happening in other countries?

I would've posted a RIP for Kim Larsen a week ago if I thought anyone besides me an Johnny cared.
His music was a part of my childhood.

OH! Don't forget SoMad! He ought to care as well!
Of course, Bono had no idea who Kim Larsen was, he was just trying to score cheap points...
