I'm so tempted to leave it there and let you go again tomorrow, but ... you did post on time.

I live in the southeast of the US and I see lots of married couples that do not have wedding rings, but rather something that looks like it came out of a cereal box. When did plastic rings become a thing for marriages?
I have never understood people going in to debt for a wedding ring but this seems a bit overkill. What's going on? I'm tempted to get married again so I can figure out what they are all about.
Is this happening in other countries?

I would've posted a RIP for Kim Larsen a week ago if I thought anyone besides me an Johnny cared.
His music was a part of my childhood.

OH! Don't forget SoMad! He ought to care as well!
Of course, Bono had no idea who Kim Larsen was, he was just trying to score cheap points...

Oh, forgot about SoMad.

A friend of mine bought wedding rings at a total $80 US, about 12 year's ago.
I told him he was an idiot and I wished his marriage would last more than 5 years. He started cheating on his wife after 3 years. I haven't talked to him since.
Is there a correlation between what you put into a wedding ring and a happy marriage? Probably not, but who the hell buys his wife a $40 dollar ring, and what kind of bride says that is Ok?

I dunno - aren't there more important things to put into a marriage than an overpriced loop of a good conductor and a lump of squashed carbon?
Maybe that's what the silicon bands are saying ...
