Restore your systems drive from an earlier image. If you did not make earlier images, then I suggest you start doing so now!

Assuming you opened the mailinator spam Google Doc link, and gave it access:
In addition to changing your password, consider:Quote:
go to https://myaccount.google.com/permissions and see if "Google Doc" is listed as one of the apps that has access to your Google account.
If so, that's the fake one — the real Google Doc shouldn't appear on this page. Select the fake Google Doc and click the blue "REMOVE" button. [^]
«When I consider my brief span of life, swallowed up in an eternity before and after, the little space I fill, and even can see, engulfed in the infinite immensity of spaces of which I am ignorant, and which know me not, I am frightened, and am astonished at being here rather than there; for there is no reason why here rather than there, now rather than then.» Blaise Pascal

If you opened a document containing macros or executed an attachment, your system should be considered compromised and wiped.

Burn down your house, leaving all your belongings inside, buy a tent (using cash, non-sequential numbers), and go to live in the deepest, darkest woods for three years, at the very least.

You forgot the part about plowing the plot under with salt, toxic chemical wastes, and highly radioactive materials.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

If you opened a VBA-enabled document, you likely have netcat, meterpreter, or another command interface installed on your system. Assume you have a root-kit installed and will need to completely frag that HD if you ever want to use it again.
If it was just a web page it'll just be an exercise in changing web passwords.
Have fun with that.

Serious reply here.
As a kid my grandfather gave me a JCB baseball cap, I wore that thing out but never knew what JCB stood for. He was a truck driver and farmer in rural northern Alabama so who knows how he got the cap. Thanks for bubbling up those memories Griff.
Hats off to you.

JCB - Wiktionary[^]
It is a regional thing to refer to the machine by its brand. As you can see from the first entry, some regions might be rather confused about the idea.
