I'd recommend letting the plants "mature" until the host is a reasonable age, then harvesting the processed material in the usual way.

This is Javascript. If you put big wheels and a racing stripe on a golf cart, it's still a f***ing golf cart.

So that excludes tortured, genetically modified animals that are UNNATURALLY PROCESSED?
And you say this because those which are not genetically modified are somehow better off?
And what the hell is "UNNATURALLY PROCESSED"?
If you cared a twit about this you'd not be eating animals to begin with.

I started a new job in April, so far I have not written a single line of what I would consider "code". The company is enhancing and maintaining a (cough) set of SharePoint sites, and I have been buried to my hairline in nothing but xml configuration files. This is getting to be a real bummer, not sure how much longer I can last.

You knew you were going to get lots of "think yourself lucky" answers, well here's mine:
Think yourself lucky, I haven't written any code since Christmas!

Yeah, I am kinda, sorta looking now. Contacted one or two of the most helpful recruiters and am looking to move to Tampa - where I am now is a desert. The major factor of this job was that it is 100% remote to Virginia. I realize that a 'rounded' developer deals with configuration, documentation, etc. but this is just a bit much. Plus, with any luck I will retired to the Dominican Republic in a year, and open a bar on the beach ( I am looking for bouncers, and waitresses, in fact )

Writing code is overrated. Software development means providing and maintaining software. That also includes configuration files and servers.
You better asks yourself whether you like such stuff or not. Looking for alternatives is alwasy good.

A bunch of us here like what we do - and are lucky enough to be paid for it.
Perhaps the gentleman would like a similar situation.
I, myself, would really hate to work when working for a living more than the minimum necessary.
