The accelerometer gag gives me an idea for an App ...

That is indeed hilarious : Phone screaming when the accelerometer shows high values. Just imagine phones in a plane taking off (I know, phones should be shut off) or in a car or elevator...
I am not sure how the monitoring is down, because a constant polling could lower your battery life a lot, but I am sure this can be run as an interrupt or service of some sort.

I'll wait for the v2 when they start shipping some useful built in support for raptor detection.

v2 is also supposed to have a small laser gun, for zombies.
And it is said to be waterproof[^].

So, just got a report back from testing that the function keys don't work on one of the WPF forms in the app.
This is standard stuff, just copy/pasted into most forms - default function keys for Save.
It hadn't been put into this form - despite the button saying "Save (F2)" there was no code in the Xaml to execute the command (or do anything at all) when F2 pressed.
"No probs" quoth I - I'll fix it now, 'cause I'm lovely, & it will only take 2 minutes"
That was 1/2 hour ago. It still isn't working. I've put in the code, bound the keys to the commands, and nothing happens!
During the rest of this sprint I have knocked over complex jobs at top speed with nary a wrinkle!
I'm sure when I find out what the problem is I'll have a really good laugh about it. (or, maybe not).
Why is it that these simple things are suddenly so hard to do!

Sounds like the DataContext on that View isn't quite the one you think it is. Just use Snoop to see what the context is on it - oh, and don't forget to check your output window to see if you have any broken bindings.

Turns out it was a focussing issue - seems nothing had focus, and so setting the focus in the code behind fixed the immediate issue at hand making me a happy bunny.
I hate focus issues in our framework because:
The decision was taken early on that the users wanted to use Enter to navigate around, rather than tab. So they used a "SendKeys' equivalent to send a Tab whenever Enter is sent..
Them, when tab sequence is all lovely, someone pops up a dialogue and closes it with Enter - which then moves the focus to the next control on the view behind.
Sucks.
