It is a widely unknown fact that cows poop tulips in the Netherlands.
I'd rather be phishing!

If one studies the photo's with the bicycle path, then it's clearly brown custard.

I understand your consternation! It's sheep pooping lilies in Wales!

It must be fun cycling in a country without any hills. I am struggling within half a mile from home in any direction.

We always like the hills as they are a change of landscape for us.
But I must admit we have electric bikes

I know a number of people who have electric bikes. I am resisting the temptation ... for a while at least.

Lackey breaks wind after capture. (9)
It's the right meaning, but not the right word.
I had written 'sycophant' down on a piece of paper as the only synonym that I could think of for lackey; but did not submit it because the nearest I got was pant for 'wind' hidden at the end, but couldn't do anything with the other letters.
If it was an anagram, sycophant contains both cop and snatch for capture, but I figured it was probably hopeless because then the remaining letters didn't make sense.
Hint: It isn't an anagram.
Sure, I was also looking for a synonym for breaks wind that could go after a synonym for capture, but there aren't that many synonyms for lackey!
It's an old English word, (not in common use - but, maybe, should be!), so doesn't appear in regular synonym lists.

Well, we all get to find out tomorrow!

CATCHFART - obvious now, isn't it?

I thought of fart but didn't think anyone would use it in the CCC

I tried FART and FARTS a few times, but the best I could come up with was German ...
Not a word I've heard before - so I learned something new.

My new word for the day.
Unlike pkfox, I thought fart could be part of the answer but thought it would need to be farts to align with breaks wind.

It's a shame the good ones seem few and far between these days. I feel XKCD has wondered too far into "specialist humour" the past few years.
He clearly learns a new subject area, and then makes one or two comics about what he learned.
