She isn't mine, biological. We hadn't spoken in years. ..but that one sentence with that one word, knocked me of my feet. That word carries promises, implications, duties. In short, all I failed her in, and still she chose that word.

Responsibility can be an equally strong drug.
Feeling the love and responsibility for a child can be even stronger.
Good luck!

And I thought gambling and smoking addiction was bad - have all the strength and support you can get and I REALLY hope you don't need it all.

Hi Eddy,
May all the Angels protect you in your struggle to restore self-control, and, to accept the sudden, traumatic, change in your "family history."
take care, Bill

Humorous though it is, it doesn't seem like a joke. Gotta be someone doing that. I spose that's why it is a joke.

I have a new Keyboard and Mouse combination It is my third time buying this brand
the last one was purchased in 2016 This new configuration requires that I click the mouse
when I first boot the Windows 7 Dell Precision T7600 If I watch a YouTube video that is
24 min long without touching the mouse the mouse goes to sleep and requires that I click
some button to wake it up With the past products the mouse never went to sleep and if the
computer went to sleep the mouse or keyboard would wake the computer up
I have made these changes
The USB ports under Power Management "Allow Computer to turn off device" is unchecked
Advanced Power management the USB Selective Suspend option is "SUSPENDED"
My guess is that Kensington Pro Fit Wireless Comfort Set has now opted to wire the
mouse and keyboard so that if they are inactive they go to sleep to save the batteries
I am at my wits end trying to correct this behavior
Any Suggestions I am looking at Logitech MK 710 combo but that Hype Scrolling is a turn off

Did the keyboard/mouse set come with software (or refer to getting it online?) This sounds to me like configuring the devices and not your system.

Some later model mouses (or should I say 'mice'?) have this auto turn-off feature to save the battery in case you forget to turn it off. I suggest you accept it and get used to it. In my case it saved me a ton of batteries! When you start re-using the computer, just hit the scroll wheel to turn on the mouse.

NO Software the manufacture tech support said it was Plug and Play
when I booted the set the first time it told me it was updating driver
which is MS from 2006 because it is W 7 I did not think I could auto find a new driver upload

I agree on the saving batteries but the aggravation is my old brain is not adjusting to the new concept

I am spoiled I like the BIG cushion pad at the bottom of the keyboard
hence the MK 710 just not sure about the hyper school function
Any comments on this feature would be more than welcome

this is a great tip.
My DELL T1700 has similar issue: it won't wake up sometimes and I have to unplug the power line.

Southmountain did you happen to buy the T1700 as a refurb ?
I ask because my T7600 had that issue and I switched the wall outlet and that resolved the issue

I agree with you Marc but My house has carpet everywhere and I live in Arizona so static electricity is a BIG issue I had a MS keyboard with metal around the perimeter and fried a mother board on a old Dell
every now and then I send my thermostat to I quit mode and need to reset it by taking the batteries out
