On behalf of the Disneyland Character Casting staff, we appreciate your auditioning for the role of "Troll."
However, the consensus of our judges was that your performance, while sarcastic, lacked the comedic depth we expect for that role, lacked dramatic focus.
We found your wishing to be known by the name "Paltry" unsettling, given the etymology of that word:Quote: "mean, worthless, despicable," 1560s, probably an adjectival use of noun paltry "worthless thing" (1550s), associated with dialectal palt, pelt "trash," cognate with Middle Low German and East Frisian palte "rag," Middle Dutch palt "broken or torn fragment." Similar formation in Low German paltrig "rubbishy," East Frisian palterig "ragged, torn." We want our Trolls to be subtly wicked, while still being folksy, and attractive. The glint in their eyes should suggest mischief-making, not malice.
Wishing you a brighter future, Disneyland, International.

I love Wolfram Alpha. Amazing. The free version is great. I used to have a paid subscription when I used it more often.
I agree though, this omni calculator site seems like a rip-off from Wolfram Alpha, but omni seems to have calculators that are not part of Wolfram, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they were "inspired" by Wolfram Alpha.

I look at SQLite Administrator and find the last update is 2008.
it can create SQLite3 database. the assembly SQLite3.dll it goes was still in 2007 version. Shall I just override this copy with new version of SQLite3.dll( such as in 2021)?

Probably not. There have been some API changes since then. Try DB Browser for SQLite[^].

Yup. Epic's business model seems to be based around giving away expensive games to train users that they should never have to pay for anything on the Epic store. I wonder how well that's working out for them.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

summary
Despite representing a significant victory for Epic that reduces Apple’s control over how in-app purchases are conducted, it was far from a sweeping win for the game publisher. Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers ruled against Epic on all other counts in the trial. Apple, she concluded, is not in violation of antitrust law, and does not need to allow Epic or other entities the freedom to create their own stores on Apple platforms. Additionally, Apple is not required to allow Fortnite back on the App Store.

Epic Wins Big Fortnite Lawsuit Against Apple
Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers ruled against Epic on all other counts in the trial
Well, which is it?
You a clickbait headline writer on the side?

Both: EPIC lost the cause for breach of contract but another trial declared that specific clause in the contract unlawful (Apple forces devs to have all in-app transactions through the Apple store, so Apple gets a 30% cut of microstransactions).

Rephrasing my question another way - given what Epic has lost/won...is anything going to have much of an impact on Apple? I guess that's the bottom line.
|
|
|
|
|
Yes, it means that all the app (mostly games) developers can route their in-app purchases through their own site instead than through the Apple store, hetting a larger cut of the money and negating it to Apple.

So what prevents Epic from giving the game away for free and then charging for character slots or playtime in the in app store thereby completely circumventing any fees to Apple?
I don't know why the concept of freedom is so foreign to people - how about if Epic doesn't like the Apple store they service Android and create market pressure to change?
