Whether I am or no does it matter? I found out some information that's considered vital to me, but so what. At the end of the why should I believe I can do something that's out of my reach now?

You mean with "can do" landing a paid job? Mail a few potential employers, ask if they'd consider.

cute, but I see turning that off rreeeeeeeaaaaaaaallll fast.
Years ago, before days of headphones I worked in a shop that used Sun workstations (they had audio). A few of us would set up our machines to "Doh!" on errors and other typos. So after a month of "Doh!" again and again, it faded. I see this visual effect incredibly annoying.

We embedded developers have IDEs that make VisualStudio 6 look futuristic - and I used Vs6 for 7 long, long, long years.

For the last 15 years of my career (retired now), I was pretty much relegated to using TI's Code Composer Studio. It initially was very VS6 like but they eventually switched to Eclipse, what a pig. I pretty much only used it for debug purposes.
