Maybe it's the easiest code to "fake." They wouldn't want to show any real intellectual property.
The difficult we do right away...
...the impossible takes slightly longer.

Because if you used "real code" you'd probably want "real coders" as well, and ... some of them don't photograph well.

I find that how well I photograph is inversely proportional to how much code I am writing at the time.

Angelina Jolie was THE Female Hacker in the movie Hackers!
(And the boy went on to play Holmes in the TV Series with a totally different look/feel)
Do they count? (As real coders/hackers?)

Well, if you're looking for "coder" images then I would suggest searching for "coder monkey"

Same with the hackers in movies.
Crack the password!

What? Are we not supposed to put that on the login page?
Next you'll be telling me to remove the "Inject SQL" button ...

I was always fond of 2 or 3 gears.
"Before entering on an understanding, I have meditated for a long time, and have foreseen what might happen. It is not genius which reveals to me suddenly, secretly, what I have to say or to do in a circumstance unexpected by other people; it is reflection, it is meditation." - Napoleon I

The problem with that is that APL doesn't look like code. Looks more like astrology or some other sort of sorcery.

I suppose they could use the Arduino sample code set.

There was a span of a good 15 years or so where it seemed like almost every time I saw a code snippet in marketing materials it was rendered in the Chicago typeface.
Chicago, for the young’uns, is the original font used for system text like buttons and menus on the Mac. Aside from being not even close to monospace, it was designed *specifically* to be used as title text on low-res, 1-bit displays. Nobody ever used it for code without first uttering the sentence, “hey, this’ll be funny.” But it sort of entered the zeitgeist as “generic techie font” for a long while.

"Coding" nowadays has become mostly web or mobile. As web has been around longer than mobile, it looks more familiar to most non-tech people.

Congratulations.
I expect the same will happen to me in as little as 68 years, going by the current status... I will be 123 by then. Something to look forward to...

I see that you are a fellow Microsoft Dynamics AX developer. I remember when I started developing in version 3 in 2006 (known back then as Axapta) that the UI forms were generated for you. It made life a bit easier. The IntelliSence back then was almost non-existent, but that has improved at least.
Do you only do AX development in your spare time?
|
|
|
|
|
Nope. I work as an AX programmer. In my spare time, I only do Winforms development (mostly for fun and personal stuff).
