My experience from trying to get an app into the store a few years ago has convinced me that the same so terrible the incompetence has to be deliberate group of ing s guilty of what passes for customer service from google are also responsible for making sure that not only are all of their developer docs badly written on upload, but that less than 20% of the out of date documents are updated each time the development team gets bored and deploys breaking changes for the lulz.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

When you say the Google documentation isn't complete I assume you have looked at the developer site as follows:-
Reference
https://developers.google.com/people/api/rest?hl=en
The Top Menu also has links to Guides, Samples and Support (seems reasonable comprehensive)
I was logged in with my Google developer account I don't know if that's a requirement for access, but if you can't access just register and create a developer account.

Recently a cargo ship with thousands of expensive cars sank and the treehuggers are howling now about the environmental hazard posed by the cars. Am I stupid or are they? Whatever fuel may be left in the cars, it's a joke against the fuel oil in a wreck of this size. And does that not also go for every sunken ship, and not only for one loaded with cars?

Certainly a lack of perspective, not necessarily stupidity. On their part, not yours.

You are right. It also could be an outstanding work of journalism to bring us the homogenized, pasteurized and politically correct message. Cars bad. Expensive cars even worse. Sunken ship no big deal.

Well, the limited editions just got a little more limited. Good for those who already have one of these cars.

This is "old" news as this ship burned and sank three weeks ago.

About a month ago there was an article in one of our tiny weekly local papers (more like 10 pages, 8 of them ads). The title was all about some oil spill concerns, and there was a picture of an overturned tanker truck that had come a little too close to a ditch alongside a rural road.
Then the article itself went on to mention the tank itself was fine; the concern they raised had to do with the amount of oil that had come out of the engine...
[Edit]
Here it is...
Quote:
"Its oil tank was not ruptured" [...] "A call to the oil company confirmed that a small amount of motor oil had leaked out of the truck’s engine when it toppled over into the ditch."
Clickbait much?

Not so much. The big difference is that the truck will not lie at the side of the road until the tank is rusted through. The motor oil is the only damage that actually has happened. A sunken ship is not recovered easily and will stay right where it is now and corrode. It's only a question of time until it releases an amount of fuel against which whatever may be in the cars is a joke.
