Pure luck
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming βWow! What a Ride!" - Hunter S Thompson - RIP

Should have seen this one coming

MS Windows 11 version of the Emoji Icons has done little other than to introduce a few hundred (thousand?) more combinations and permutations of the "family unit". All I want is a few non-PC icons for my app; like a non-grinning soldier, for example.
"Before entering on an understanding, I have meditated for a long time, and have foreseen what might happen. It is not genius which reveals to me suddenly, secretly, what I have to say or to do in a circumstance unexpected by other people; it is reflection, it is meditation." - Napoleon I

Actually, you can create masses of any color.

Yet the family emoji's are still not available in black
|
|
|
|
|
I've seen black emojis used on the book of face back when I used to have an account. I'm not sure about families though. I'm no emoji expert.
To err is human. Fortune favors the monsters.

Yeah, sure, you've got LGBTQ+ (I presume) in various colors π©πΎβπ€βπ©π½π©πΎβπ€βπ©πΎπ©πΏβπ€βπ©πΌπ©π»βπ€βπ§πΏπ©πΎβπ€βπ§πΌπ¨πΎβπ€βπ¨πΎπ¨π½βπ€βπ¨πΌ
People in various shades of dark: π§πΏπ§πΎπ¨π½
An almost completely black graduate: π©πΏβπ
A black cook: π©πΏβπ³
Even black Santa: π
πΏ
But the families are strictly white (and they do have lesbian couples with children, but not gay couples): πͺπ¨βπ¨βπ§βπ§π©βπ©βπ§βπ¦π¨βπ¦βπ¦π©βπ©βπ§βπ§
You can find them in Windows by pressing Windows key + .
The first tab shows the traditional yellow emojis (which are pretty neutral IMHO), animals and the LGBTQ+ and family emojis.
The second tab is for specific people, like the Santa one, and you can choose a skin color.
However, that second tab only shows specific people and not couples or families.
Those are on the first tab where you can't pick skin color.
As I understand, these are "standard" emojis and so the standard is pretty racist and homophobic while trying to be inclusive.
What always irks me, is that WhatsApp regularly resets the skin tone of emojis (and also replaces them in the recently used).
It seems a lot of people are trying to push some agenda through emojis.

|
|
|
|
Which is why I stick with the basics (round yellow face) emojis. I think the people pushing all these other ones are rather insecure in their self-image.

Wait what?
I can copy-paste it from the website, but it should combine those somehow?

They're all distinct icons; the new ones probably above U+FFFF. The Segoe MDL2 Assets are designed for "combining" (via overlaying); e.g. a solid heart with one foreground color behind an outline of one in another color.

ok, I never really cared enough to try before, but can I create that using the win-. emoji input tool? `family: man, man, boy, girl' type syntax will let me create any grouping of 1-2 adults and 0-2 kids; but I'm stuck on how to add skin tones to each member.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

They are all distinct icons; you don't need to combine. "Character Map" doesn't support codes above U+FFFF; I expect some other tools have the same issue.

That doesn't answer my question. I know that under the hood complex emoji are 'words' created by joining multiple characters together.
My question is: Without using a 3rd party and copy/paste, how do I create this π¨πΏβπ©πΏβπ¦πΏβπ¦πΏ emoji, or any other non-Simpons yellow skin tone variation, in windows 10?
The only way I've found to create a family is after opening with win+., to begin typing family . From there I can either pick one of the people variants with my mouse, or continue typing to specify family: man, man, boy, girl . However the GUI doesn't, at least by default, offer a skintone picker when creating a family; nor do I know how to specify it when typing a text description of what I want.
