It seems the Khatshit has gone.
Just looked through his few posts and most don't seem to have added much (but then that is nothing out of the ordinary), today's effort was an interesting enough link worthy of the lounge followed up by a crap joke someone upvoted - standard lounge fare again.

I was talking about his crap joke, not yours.

And, having remembered where "my" joke obviously came from, I can now disavow myself of any crappiness associated with it.
(This is cool; I can't lose, here!)
I only noticed two postings from the guy -- both about toilets, neither particularly offensive -- so I must have skimmed past the ones that people are complaining about.

How would you categorise that one?

I don't know, but if you google it, you will probably find there are a number of sites dedicated to exactly that. Me? I'm not going near Google with that search string!

Every country "introduced to modern culture" by fanatical Portuguese and Spanish "saviours" turned out the same.
Countries pillaged by Britain should be thankful.

Quite a number of Middle-East countries were pillaged by the GB, I wouldn't say their situation is too well off presently

Every lame news website needs an explosive article every now and then to survive.
Now when you consider China, Bangladesh and Indonesia in a survey, that is like 35% of the world in terms of population. and then you take just 10,000 men across all these countries, and came to a false conclusion that 60% are criminals. Where was this survey taken? in a jail?

I thought so too, but well, it's pretty much all over[^]

That was my first thought.
They certainly didn't interview 10,000 men in business areas or nice suburbs.

It is simplistic.
For example, the article also details that many of men have also experienced violence in general. And the point of the study was to investigate the high rates and not to disprove it so one might want to at least look at the methodology.

I've been a Resharper user for many years but their forums aren't really helpful anymore. The problem with theirs is that all posts are now moderated. A couple of months ago, it took nearly a week for a new post to get through the moderation process and the replies to it were also subject to delays. Today, if you look at their forums the number of posts has significantly declined. There is still some good content to be found but the moderation process has been counter-productive. Their forums aren't really useable or useful anymore. By all means, have a hamster vetting after posting if they must but for rapid fire Q&A it's not helping.
I know the hamsters here have to trash things on occasions but we should be thankful that CP isn't so draconian, or is it?

There are a couple of problems with moderation:
1) It's slow - because every item has to read and approved by someone who understand the subject. That's why Cp only has moderation for articles and so forth: there is too much to do otherwise. Even with that limit here, it can still take hours to get an article moderated, depending on the load (and the moderation queue actually being a stack where you only see the latest five entries doesn't help that when it's busy).
2) Who does it? In order for moderated forums to work, you need moderators online 24/7 - and probably more than one at any specific time to cover work / sickness / food breaks / etc. To get that coverage means employees, probably 6 or more in three different time zones (so they can work 8 hour shifts) and can cover for each other within a time zone. And how much is that going to cost? People who know the subject tend to be both expensive, and uninterested in that job... If you use volunteers as CP does for articles, then you need to have a "trust" system to ensure that only those who will let things through based on merit rather than bias of some form, and you have to "trust" a significant number of individuals to get anything like 24/7 coverage. And persuade them that it's a job worth giving their valuable time for...

Thankfully, hamsters are basically lazy creatures, who don't want to go to that kind of trouble.
Moderated forums are run by wolverines, who spend all their time looking for something to sink their fangs into.

Assuming the wolves can be bothered in the first place.
I just emailed JetBrains about the problem with theirs. In the past they've always taken the time to reply to me. It doesn't mean they always change, so like MPs, they hear but they don't always listen.

Yes, the moderation is a pain, but it's better than the regular floods of spam they were getting a couple of years back. Especially as they don't have the community-powered "this user is a dickhead Message Automatically Removed" feature!
