If no-one was around, then you should be okay.
ATM's will recall the notes if you don't pull them out and void the transaction, but do confirm it was cancelled with your bank.

Not here in India. The RBI (Central Bank) has issued instructions to all banks not to recall notes, so if you forget to take the cash, you've lost it forever.

Elephant.
I have never done this.
Easy to do though.
Please let us all know the outcome.
...and commiserations to you as well.

There was a gang in the UK convicted of fraud at cash machines either earlier this year or last year.
They discovered that if you withdrew cash but only took some of it, when the cash machine sucked it back in again it credited you for the entire amount it had initially tried to vend.
As long as there was no-one else around you should be OK.

Ouch!
Did that myself once. ATM seemed to be playing up so I took my card and withdrew £80 from the one next to it. I later noticed I was £80 down. I asked FNB to investigate. They confirmed my withdrawal so I obviously never saw the money waiting in the slot, but somebody else did. A few months back a teenager in front of me forgot to take her £20. I called her back and told her. She took it but never had the decency to say thanks. Arsewipe!

I've never done that.
On the other hand, I did leave my baby at the gas station once.
I don't remember if I ever told my wife about that.
See? Sometimes a faulty memory is a good thing.

Movie Quote Of The Day
You may go if you wish. But remember this: walk away now and you walk away from your crafts, your skills, your vocations; leaving the next generation with nothing but recycled, digitally-sampled techno-grooves, quasi-synth rhythms, pseudo-songs of violence-laden gangsta-rap, acid pop, and simpering, saccharine, soulless slush.
Which movie?
