Vilmos chose gitlab[^] as it seems to give what I want.
Today I am trying to get all my old code in first, so that I can build up the file history of what was built with which bits and when. Then I shall update everything to the lastest versions. Good Vilmos.

"This one" is for software development, and is a community.
Some of the other sites the OP is talking about are meant for trainings, and they offer courses and educational materials on a lot of diverse topic (like physics, chemistry, mathematics, nutrition, etc.).

I didn't say that.
My point was that the other sites are completely different from CP. They have instructor-led courses on diverse topics, that may have nothing to do with software development. For instance, you could find courses in bio-chemistry, nutrition, Astro-Physics and so on.
