Yeah, will be a success, just like FB.

council turbine in wrong place[^]
The wind turbine was installed (at a cost of £48,000) and has generated electricity for nearly two years. And so far, it has produced £5 worth every month! So, at that rate, is only going to take 800 years to break even...
But the mechanical problems have been fixed now, so it should be generating a lot more now - nearly £9 per month!
Mind you, even if it had been installed in a better location, it would have produced less than £20 a month at best...

English doesn't borrow from other languages.
English follows other languages down dark alleys, knocks them over and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

Well, the location is completely wrong.
It's out there where people can see it, provoking them to ask questions about it.

Looks like they just had to spend money to reduce their CO2 output. A wind turbine was obviously the first thing that came in mind So more a prestige object than anything else

It is not ours, it is a wind's fault!

"The turbine was put its Aberystwyth office"
The BBC website's quality of English has been going steadily downhill over the last few years.

AFAIK that sort of vertical turbine has never worked well anywhere outside of a CAD program.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

uhm... to be honest.. I generally don't visit General Indian/Chinese Topics. I usually have absolutely no idea what they are talking about there so I'm fine when there is a repost of such a topic here in the lounge

Agree. That shouldn't count as a repost.

I foolishly clicked on your link.
And saw it was a link to a Garfield Video of all things!
I actually used to like Garfield in the papers (My wedding cake had Garfield & Mrs. toppers[^])
but I detest the cartoon series.
So your link remains unwatched

When I played American Football at university we used to have various punishments on the long coach journeys back after a game.
One of these was The Garfield.
Found guilty of doing something wrong during the match or wider day out the miscreant would be stripped naked then pressed face first against the back window of the coach for 5 or 10 minutes.

Consistency!!!
Consistency, I have found, is a good excuse for laziness or stupidity!
Arguably laziness can be a virtue in IT so maybe it's not so bad...
Nonetheless I hate it and rather work with inconsistent people!
|
|
|
|
|
You don't like consistency? We might need some specific situations...
|
|
|
|
|
Well, behold the shackles of consistency!
While the code below will be working just fine (property auto initialized by dependency container)
public PaysheetReports()
{
}
public IUserService UserService { get; set; }
I must write the following
public PaysheetReports(IUserService usrSvc)
{
UserService = usrSvc;
}
public IUserService UserService { get; private set; }
otherwise everyone else is "allegedly" super confused!
(needless to say these guys have an average of 9 parameters in the constructor...)

Nine? is that all?
I've been working on a class today that has 15 construction parameters (in fact, three constructors with 15, 14 and 13 parameters because our "framework" doesn't allow the use of a null parameter!!!!) What's more this class passes the construction parameters to it's base class which passes them to its base class, which passes them down to a number of child classes.
And I had to make a change to add an extra parameter.
I feel your pain as if it is mine own.
