"We" have given you "this much" higher reputation points and now you need a bigger slice of cake?!?!?! Where is that down-vote button?

Hey! I don't make the rules!
Anyway, I'll send my slice on to the Philippines - they need it more than I do...

They can have the whole cake.

I can't control that - and I suspect they have eaten most of it already, StatementTerminator was right...

Two coworkers are talking by the water cooler. One guy says, "Today I got through the first step of getting divorced." The second guy replies, "Oh, did you go to Mr. Guggenheim? Everyone goes to him for divorces." The first man replies, "No, I just got married."

That's the second step.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

While he's at it he may as well let her pick out the house that she'll end up with!

She got to be a good housekeeper to do that.

I was out of town yesterday, on my return this morning I had to wait for Windows to install a few thousand updates; nothing unusual. But just a few minutes ago I tried running some diagnostics - one of our happymerryworkers in the office thought the Internet is broken - I was surprised to find that my computer no longer recognizes the PING command from the command prompt! WTE?
It also no longer recognizes tracert, pathping, nslookup, netstat, or any other tool I've happily used for as long as DOS recognized a network! What the heck? Is Windows Update now distributing viruses?
The PATH got wiped by something, possibly an update script that was missing the %PATH% element. I manually rebuilt the environment variable by copying one from another PC in the office and all is well... Sheesh.

I also installed the latest round of updates from MS. My computer still recognizes ‘ping’, etc. just fine. I recommend scanning for viruses and rebooting. Rebooting fixes many ills.

I've done both, and it's behind a firewall, too (SonicWall w/ McAfee real time AV). This is nuts!

Mine updated last night - and ping still works here. Check your path in a command prompt - has something messed with your CMD settings?

That's what I suspect. PATH doesn't include everything it used to, so I may just try a restore point from last week.

That should work to restore settings. But, those settings shouldn't have changed in the first place.
