Sound cool, what area is it targeting? Is it for use by the driller in the doghouse, or on the rig floor, or by the company man sat in his office?

Any of those really, but what we wanted to do was to let the driller focus more out the window than down at instrumentation. We also want to get to the point where we can give a pair of glasses to other hands (like up on the monkey board) so that if there is a problem he can just turn the camera on and let video stream to somebody who can help.
The company I contract to does (among other things) drilling instrumentation, like full auto-driller packages so they are just wanting to integrate a lot of that into the newest thing out there. They want to display things like ROP, mud flows, standpipe pressures, etc and have them pop up when they are critical.

I have the Jet on order, and I wanted to use them for a product demo in a trade show in May, but they are having production issues or something and have pushed back delivery to around June.
Last week they had a sale on them, $100 off retail, too bad it was vaporware

Why don't you just buy the standalone Recon Mod Live unit and retrofit it onto a pair of safety glasses or a visor for a mockup purpose...
|
|
|
|
|
I did look at that but I was expecting to get the Jets in plenty of time for the show, they just recently cancelled and now I have the Google Glasses I don't have to rig anything up, better to have a professional product for the show than something glued together

It's about a court case[^], so I initially ignored it, but then I was desperate enough to scan it to see about including it in the Insider[^] (plug, plug, go ahead, subscribe, I dare you) and got to this money exchange:

"I invented it."

Crappage.
Well, I guess that was why TGP wanted the trial in Texas (I've heard that court is very pro-patent owner). Hopefully the Supreme Court or whatever will hear it and find for sanity.

Careful you might get a array index out of bounds error with some posters, there seem to be some VB guys here.

Since spirit produces a much better developer than VB would do, you are a cheat.

You can sure say that again. We've learnt through Bitter experience here in Australia that nothing good ever comes from VB.

They had such promising futures until they crossed paths with VB. Gin is indeed a far better option.
