Hence the over compensation of extra cookies. With triple quantities, the first batch barely gets out of the oven, maybe 1/3 of the second lot survives and the final batch should be good to go.
Though I once made a large tray of brownies, NOT ONE SURVIVED AN HOUR.

Cooking is a great stress relief. Baking is doubly so. Posers stay away from the kitchen pretending to be macho, real men embrace it.

Awww it's a baby mixer.
If you're going to buy one, you should've gone for: MOAR POWAR! Amazon has the next size up[^] with 50% more power than its predecessor[^] for only 20% more. My Mom's had the beast for a half dozen years now; as a bonus it's heavy enough that lifting it from storage to the counter where your wife will use it is good exercise for carrying multiple cases of gin at once.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

That's a great deal! I paid $229US for mine, on sale, but it didn't come with the ice cream maker ($99) or the pasta set (~$400).
I'm waiting for the ice cream maker to go on sale, and I can live without the pasta attachments, but I really want the slicer/shredder unit.

One word of warning; when mixing dough, be careful not to make it too stiff--they use nylon gears which strip. Found that out the hard way. (The ex got ours in the divorce. I now mix my pizza dough by hand, which is how I did it before we got the thing. Problem is that good dough needs to be stiff and that can get tiring.)

Long before the coming of iDevices, and Win Metro/Modern, the U.S. military pioneered friendly user-interfaces [^]:"To give you an idea of how secure the PAL system was at this time, bypassing one was once described as being “about as complex as performing a tonsillectomy while entering the patient from the wrong end.“ This system was supposed to be essentially hot-wire proof, making sure only people with the correct codes could activate the nuclear weapons and launch the missiles.
However, though the devices were supposed to be fitted on every nuclear missile after JFK issued his memorandum, the military continually dragged its heels on the matter. In fact, it was noted that a full 20 years after JFK had order PALs be fitted to every nuclear device, half of the missiles in Europe were still protected by simple mechanical locks. Most that did have the new system in place weren’t even activated until 1977.
Those in the U.S. that had been fitted with the devices, such as ones in the Minuteman Silos, were installed under the close scrutiny of Robert McNamara, JFK’s Secretary of Defence. However, The Strategic Air Command greatly resented McNamara’s presence and almost as soon as he left, the code to launch the missile’s, all 50 of them, was set to 00000000."

In the 60's the RAF and USAF had British-based Thor missiles.
The RAF wasn't supposed to launch without USAF personnel turning the key.
Of course, they worked out how to hot wire them.
