I've got Weven Pro and VS2010, will that work? I've not done any research or had any inkling to do any Weight development so have no idea as to whether my system will do the job. I've got a couple more days of work to do and then I'll be free to work on it...plus it's going to be cold all week so won't be going out and will try to break away from other development I've got going and work on it some. Additionally some time next week I'll be getting my Beagle Bone Black so I want to get this and the Autonomous Rover article out of the way.
Maybe I should put out a shout for Weight Beta testers?
I've threatened to retire before but this time I mean it...oh wait I am retired.

I had no idea what WinHeist was until now. Seeing 1N4004 in a screenshot brought a wide smile to my face. Fond memories of hardware hacking. Thanks, Mike!

Welcome Ravi.
Since I've retired it's become one of my passions to reacquaint myself with embedded devices, electroincs and programming.

Since this is related to directory access rights (introduced in Vista), Win7 should work. Just place configuration files in the AppData directory and you should be good to go.

Mitchell,
I'm getting real close to having a Beta ready to test, probably tomorrow. Would you be willing to be a tester?
If not no big deal I would just like someone with Windows 8 to be a tester since I don't have a weight machine.
If you do decide to do it I will put it on my site for download and if you would give me feedback after testing.
Thanks,
Mike

I have a beta version of WinHeist ready if you're still interested you can get it from my site WinHeist 2.0 Beta[^]
Any feedback would be appreciated.

I had just copied some code from one project to another, and VS 2013 Premium labeled every character as an error. The error window showed the message 'Too many errors!' and VS then decided to crash and burn. I reopened the solution, and no more errors.

It was a test of your character. VS has given up since you wouldn't. VS can now be seen as a regular at a sleazy local bar.

And so one of my tasks will be to take down and pack away Christmas until next year.
The house always looks so bare for a couple of weeks - but at least I don't have to fight the cat on a daily basis to keep decorations on the tree!
You lot down and packed away yet? Or are you like some of the locals who just turn the decorations off at the end of Jan, and then turn them back on in July?

I hadn't planned to decorate at all this year, but my neighbor had other ideas. I arrived home from work one night in December to find my pinus elderica[^] covered in bright lights, and an extension cord running across several yards to his house. I left them up until last weekend, then took them down and returned them to the neighbor.

Hehehe... No, I don't have anything available in C5 caliber. It was very thoughtful of him to decorate, and I respect his reasons. He has 4 little kids, and only had visitation rights for two days at Christmas and no time or money to illuminate his own house. He hasn't even got a tree. But the kids love my house, my tree, my dog. When the kids arrived for Christmas, the tree was lit, the neighborhood looked bright and beautiful thereby, and they had a wonderful Christmas with Dad. I'm glad I could contribute the tree. Maybe next year I'll sneak over to his house and plant a tree!

That was very nice of your neighbor. It's hard to get good neighborhood and you must be thankful to have one.

My neighborhood has been through some changes over the years, most of them not good, but the past 5 years have been great, with more young families moving in with young kids. A lot of people my age (0x3B) consider children pests, but to my ears, the sounds of children playing and laughing are music, a symphony of life and hope. It's good to have kids here once again...

I had a trip to Indonesia and got back the weekend before Christmas. We pulled the tree out of storage, took off the plastic covering it and plugged it in. We hung a wreath on a nail in the front door and my wife put the plastic candy canes along the driveway. Done in about 10 minutes and undone the day after New Year in another 10 minutes. If the grandkids weren't coming over, we would have probably just forgot about the whole thing.

Do I dare ask what happened during that incident?
OT: I cannot run your WinHeist program as it cannot write to its config file due to the program being in the ProgramFiles directory, which is secured on Windows 8. I would think putting the file in the AppData directory would be a better choice.
