You will be in my thoughts tomorrow djj55. Best of luck and hope those dots will be a conversation piece for many years to come.

Interesting and a little surprising.
Tattoo removal and re-tattooing are also popular at the moment.
Talking about Fads I wish the YOYO would come back again.
It always used to every few years.
Haven't seen it for sometime now.
It was always sponsored by Coke and Fanta.
Guess they found something else as a promotional medium.
I am not going to get a tat, but I think I will get out the
clutched Yoyo and see if I can still do a walk the dog,
a dog bite (my favourite), an around the world and a rock the cradle.
I use to see a lot of Sanskrit tats on people but now they are often Chinese characters.
A friend recently got a tat that consisted of 2 Chinese characters. I asked him what it meant and he said, "Truth and Wisdom"
I googled them chars and had to reveal to him that it really meant "Elephant you, you round eyed Sunshine."
Sorry the last sentence is actually a lie, but it very easily could have been permanently true.
Interesting Post Greg Thanks

Simple household rule regarding tattoos: must be 50 years of age or older to get one. By then, all your beliefs and opinions are not likely to change; you are wiser too.
As for me having a tattoo: would you put a bumper sticker on a Lamborghini?

People are like dim sheep. Something becomes popular with little Johnny or little Mary and everyone else says "Me too!". Marketing people take advantage of this constantly. (Personally this explains the whole Apple Mac and Ipod and Iphone phenomena for me.)
The obvious answer to this is the ubiquitous answer your mother had when you were growing up. "If everybody went and jumped off of the bridge...."
I was born with all of the holes and pigmentation my body will ever need.
I am on the I don't get it side.

With you there. What's the point? Does someone think they become a different person if they get a tat? Don't get that!

Ya, the "intuitive" interface I have on MyPhone now seems anything but...

The particle beam of a new-born star[^] is visible in this infrared image taken by the Hubble Telescope. These jets are believed to be formed when a new star is forming: not all of the material falling inwards makes it, and instead gets pushed outwards towards the poles of rotation, moving faster and faster and eventually shooting off as a highly accelerated, tightly spinning beam of plasma.
If you look towards the top of the image, you will see where the beam has punctured a molecular cloud, creating a wake.

A neighboring star was overheard saying "Is that a particle beam you have there or are you just glad to see me?".

That's what they want you to think. Actually, the locals are test firing the primary weapon on their brand spankin' new Death Star.

It seems ready for ski...

Ski lift + 25ft snow = tow rope.

There are other ones where the rope is actually below the snow level!

Looks like an avalanche, without the avalanche! I imagine there will be some serious flooding in the spring.

That depends if it is a rapid thaw or a progressive thaw.
