Here in Sub-Tropical Bedfordshire we are having a monsoon.
The tide is coming down.
I went home at lunchtime to let the dog out.
Normally I open the door and he is out in a second, diving through my legs like a stabbed rat, in order to do his business.
Not today, he stuck his nose out, waited a moment, then backed himself into his bed.
If go home to 'Puddles' in the kitchen I will not be impressed.

There once were F1-F16 when they were positioned on the side of the keyboard instead of the top. (I think they were mostly for old apple machines but I might stand corrected here)

What "Execute"?
Whom should I be targeting for the hit?
The best bit is the power came back on, a minute later there is a knock on the door and it's the Electricity board to read the meter. We have a joke with him, he leaves, power goes back out again...I think the bugger is turning it on while he's there, then switching it back off when he leaves...

There are a number of folks here that are in the Carolinas.
As I understand it, civil state of emergency has been issued for both states.
If you have to be on the road, please exercise extreme caution. If staying off the roads is an option, please stay where you are.
The danger here is not the snow; it is the snow, followed by freezing rain and then more snow. You may not see the ice because of the snow.
Also, the amount of freezing rain being called for will result in wide spread power outages. If you have a secondary heat source (I use firewood), prepare BEFORE the storm hits.
Above all, be safe.

How un-American!
I hope it is not as bad as they expect. In Ohio they keep predicting 'very bad' and we get 'somewhat bad'.

That's far better than the reverse situation.

In contrast here in Britain there is expected to be a brief let up in the severe weather tomorrow.
The Met Office are advising everybody that tomorrow is an ideal day to make unnecessary journeys.
