Shame on the developers for not questioning the spec, ditto on the testers for not testing outside the box, ditto the product managers for not properly thinking through their bright idea!
But there is a simple solution - disable the feature by default and auto-enable it when the phone connects to a paired HFT over Bluetooth. Possibly with a user opt-out at the point of enabling.

Not many Lounge regulars are overwhelmed fans of Farcebook or its founding father, Zuck.
Sharing that point-of-view, I found this piece entertaining: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/10/09/technology/meta-zuckerberg-metaverse.html[^]
It is behind a paywall, but if you just click your browser's "Reader view" (or just "Reload & interrupt reload" [pretty weak content protection for such a large operation]) then you can read the whole thing.

I don't trust Zuckerberg to create any virtual environment that reflects reality in any way, shape, or form.

My computer has been randomly freezing lately.
Always at the end of the day, around 16:30, but last week around 17:30 too.
Only the on/off button works.
Another problem I've been having is that I can't connect to the Wi-Fi of one particular customer.
But it's only me.
Had that issue before and nothing could solve it except a router update after a couple of month.
Maybe I could find out what causes the problems, maybe the problems will go away after some random update, but more likely it's easier and faster to buy a new laptop
Spending a lot of time and money on something that works 99% of the time is not my favorite pastime, but better do it now when I still have the time and choice

Might be time to back up your data and reinstall the OS from scratch. By "from scratch" I mean get the Microsoft retail version of the OS and install from there, deleting the partition table as part of the process. You may need to get drivers for the machine before you start this process, though.

Easier and faster to just buy a new laptop, which I did.
I'll keep my current one around for emergencies.

If your time is valued at 80-100 euros/hour, it doesn't take that many hours of wasted time to equal buying a new computer.

Since my laptop backs up on a regular basis using the Windows File History feature, I can reimage and restore in about four hours. My last laptop cost me just under $3,200. Using $100/hour and an 8 hour day, this would have been four business days of chargeable time.
I actually had to do this in February as my previous laptop simply shut off and would not turn back on. Purchased a new machine (Dell XPS15) and had it up and running in about four hours with everything restored from the file history backups.
