Sounds like the same video. I was thinking that too -- I don't consider it tailgating if I can still see the headlights of the guy behind me! Yeah, they might be too close, but I've experienced *real* tailgaters. This didn't qualify.

Missed that, wrong side of the road for me, I would normally flash the hih beams to get the idiots attention, didn't see that here.

That looks like a 4 lane highway. Should the driver who filmed this little episode have been in the righ-hand land to allow the tail-gater to pass?
Just sayin'

Absolutely. No excuse for her behavior, and she should have been charged with Obstructing Traffic, Negligence, and Inciting To Riot. Not to mention that she deserves to be summarily shot and pushed into a ditch, her husband impaled on a stick, and her children sold into slavery. Dang scofflaws!

Bah! The slow moving a$$hole had no right to be in the left lane to begin with. The wrong driver had the accident.

I agree she should have let the idiot pass, but I don't think either really deserved to have an accident. However, this does not appear to be a "freeway" so I don't think the "left-hand passing lane" ethic applies.

It always applies, freeway or not, if there's more than one lane going the same direction.

In cities and high traffic areas, I think it's prudent to allow people a little slack. It doesn't change the law, but courtesy require a little patience.

I've pondered roag rage - I've gotten angry, annoyed and seen others annoyed at me. The fact is, we would never behave this way in a crowded hallway at work. We would say, "Excuse me..." and the other person would say, "oh, of course..." and allow us to go by.
What happens to us when we get in a car?
My fil insists it's his "right" to drive 55 in the left lane. and he's the most God fearing, well mannered man I know, but seriously... blocking the left lane in Atlanta?

lol, apparently quite some time. He drives a Honda Insight. Had to go look it up to make sure - itty-bitty.
And he will argue the point that the speed limit is 55. Never mind the semi thundering behind him that really doesn't want to constantly adjust speed to keep from squashing him. The guy is anally squared away - to an extreme... but he will not concede physics. On family road trips, I have told him, lead, follow or get out of the way... We're both men and neither need directions.

I can still remember my 80 yo grandfather, stuck behind some rectocranially inverted jackass, yelling out the window, "Drive it or park it, A$$hol3!" It just seemed some cute coming from a sweet old man.

charlieg wrote: "right" to drive 55 in the left lane Yeah, it's actually against the law here where I live to do that, i.e., block traffic. Doesn't matter that you're going the speed limit.
I only get that way when people tailgate me. I'll happily move over for anyone that is polite, but for those arseholes who insist on tailgating I slowdown to 45mph and make them go around.

Can you give Gary a nudge and get him to enable my account. Its an old one I switched back to after getting it re-enabled, and deleted the other one, that's why it went away.
Thanks

Suvir Mirchandani has researched and proven a method for reducing the costs of government printing. This article[^] describes how the 14 year old came up with the idea, did the research, and published his findings that in the US alone, a change of fonts could save $400 million a year in ink costs. Remember the name; this boy will either go far, or be assassinated by a HP TSET (Tactical Sales Enhancement Team).

Just reminds me about my checking account interest. I am convinced the bank spends more on the ink to print out the piddling sum then they actually give.
As for cost savings - if people would just use the back of printed sheets (instead of pads, for example), I'd suppose that'd save some bucks, too. Using fine-point pens would save ink, and thus the pens would last longer (or steal them from TD Bank, like everyone else).
