Hey, come on! That's hardly realistic, is it? Herself watches CSI and every hotel in Vegas is chock-full of corpses!

Ah, one more thing. Today is the 12 year anniversary of my very first article[^]!
But enough about me today. How's it going with everyone else?

Peachy.
Fixed Herself's dress watch (and even managed to close the stupid thing, with the help of a vice and lots of padding) sliced the Sous Vide beef joint I did yesterday for tonight's supper without the cat getting his nose / paws / teeth involved, fixed a couple of small bugs, added a bunch of features that I've been sitting on for a while, read a book. Picked Herself up from work, the water hasn't gone off (yet - it did Friday, Saturday, and Sunday dues to "separate water mains faults" that just happened to all be within 20m of each other), haven't had any accidents (yet), nothing broken (yet), and herself isn't swearing at the TV (yet).
Pretty good so far, considering!

Happy anniversary Marc and know that you have made a difference.
Along with Antimatter and Dark Matter they've discovered the existence of Doesn't Matter which appears to have no effect on the universe whatsoever!

Shameless plug[^]
Poor audio (you can hear the rumbling the fans on my desktop machine).
Article is here[^] (have I no shame??? Nope!)
But the main point is, what you all think of the concept?

No need to be shameless! I had a watch of it this morning and think the software is execellent, the video is perfectly fine.

Thanks, and thanks for your comments! I agree, the "announcements" are cool at first and get really monotonous. How to make computers less monotonous, aye, that's a question!

Didn't watch the video (yet), but I could have sworn I've seen a video of yours previously?

Hmmm...if I did, it's so long ago I don't recall. My son has posted a few regarding Eve though.

Marc, man, it is ALL about the microphone. For one, you can get a mesh cover to filter about ambient noise. Here's an example I made about a year ago with just a $200 mic...

It's an interesting video, with a cool concept. I see where you're headed with this HOPE interactivity thing.

OK, cool. Thank you! If I end up doing more of these, I'll definitely make the investment. I'm also using an ancient version of Camtasia, might be worth re-investing in that tool as well, unless you have some recommendations for screencast software?

I haven't used Camtasia in years, but it was pretty nice back then. I never liked it for editing though, just for grabbing the video. Personally, I like After Effects for editing. I know most pros would say go Premiere or Final Cut Pro and they are right, but for my needs After Effects does the job pretty well. It's basically Photoshop for video.

Thanks! I'll take a look.
It's amazing how time consuming this process can be. I'm also surprised how hard it is to put together a decent video presentation. I'm very used to talking in front of audiences, but talking to an invisible audience, and realizing all the "umms, ahhs, and so's" that I say that just are not professional in a video production--it's a whole different ball of wax.
